  • Might give it a go then as a break from starfield, which is getting a tad boring now.

Something that flew under the radar but is good fun, Separate Ways RE4 DLC

  • I've had a few starfield nights recently and it's Bethesdaing me in with mechanics that hit my brain right, but I'm not loving it like the classics.

  • Warhammer Darktide is now on gamepass for xbox and apparently they've fixed a load of the bugs from the pc version. It's pretty fun.

  • In trying really hard not to try and metagame/optimise it and just let it wash over me - something like when I first played morrowind as a teenager. Although there is absolutely zero compelling me to wander into the wilderness like an Elder Scrolls game I am enjoying the city environments.

I really enjoyed the ryujin quest line despite janky stealth mechanics.. have barely touched planetary exploration/outposts/ship design, very much just fast travelling around. I can't really tell how much 'content' vs junk there is (I've read about repeated content etc) Just had the Juno chance encounter which was great, if brief.

I'm finding I'm enjoying it much more in 2 hour chunks rather than wanting to absolutely session it.

I built one just to make a bounty machine as everyone hated me and I had some contraband, couldn't land anywhere to use an existing machine as everyone shot on sight. I'm still liking the game but I don't have time to get really into it and it's not forcing me to do so like others have.

  • ryujin quest line

I've been doing that too, just done the one where you sneak around your own office and ended up giving up on stealth, had to go full stun gun.

  • Fuckers attacked me there too.

  • Hahah the fuck did you do to them? Maybe the Crimson Raiders base?

  • Also tried there, but attacked and I'm pretty low level so couldn't fight my way out. I could land at the Den but the bounty meant I couldn't get to the bounty machine without giving up or shooting my way out for a bigger bounty, the ranger guy already hates me for merking a load of guys I thought were fair game.

  • The bounty system definitely feels tougher than in previous Bethesda games, you used to be able to walk around towns avoiding guards but now you set foot in a general star system and get blasted.

  • Playing Chrono Trigger for the first time. As someone who worshipped at the alter of FFVII since the late 90s I feel a huge mug for never having played it. So good.

  • Glad to see PUBG continues to rake it in...

    🤨

  • yeah this is true, I bought it yesterday and really enjoying it

  • Corporates will corporate

  • On the flipside, the Steam version of Crazy Taxi is all the worse for the lack of product placement (and original soundtrack)

  • First game I’ve started in earnest on my analogue pocket

  • Enjoying free The Callisto Protocol (with PS+).

Amazing graphics, sound design, atmosphere and very very gory (yum).

A bit too much crawling/shimmying through tight places and massive similarity/rip off to Dead Space.

But for free game, quite enjoyable and exactly what I was looking for until Mario Wonder comes out.

  • A bit too much crawling/shimmying through tight places and massive similarity/rip off to Dead Space.

Fairly sure it's the same creator as Dead Space. Presumably he'd had enough of dealing with EA's shit and decided to go do his own thing.

  • massive similarity/rip off to Dead Space.

It's directed by the same person. Was a big fan of the original Dead Space but initial Callisto Protocol reviews were pretty meh so I gave it a miss.

  • Lots of hidden vents in the ceiling with panels to turn off the lights on each floor!

  • Oh, that makes sense. Didn’t do my research.

I’d say if you can get this for under £15 or free, it’s worth a try.

Especially if you’ve enjoyed Dead Space.

  • Yeah I got as far as I could with the vents, it was the stupid little robots that kept spotting me across the entire room

  • Got you. I found early on I kept forgetting to take my spacesuit off for stealth bits because it autohides, but I also had a chameleon helmet which meant when I stopped moving basically get ignored unless someone steps on me.
