I am replaying Fallout 4, happy to discuss at length the merits of a VATS focused Deliverer build...

I couldn't get into 4 at all. Played 3 to death when it came out.

There are moments on Subnautica that hit emotions some tightly-directed games can only dream lf. Some serious 'awe' and 'relief' and 'holy shit'. Finally working my way through Zero when I can and loving returning to that world.

I thought it'd been going on longer rather than just a dozen posts on it. Maybe I was conflating it with old Wordle daily updates

Everspace 2 hits gamepass at some point today.

Been considering firing up fallout 4 on the steam deck. I found it lost a lot of enjoyment on PC with kb+m and how easy it was to just flick headshot everything.

Assume you play the full survival mode. Food and drink as well as O2 and health. Been playing without food and drink. More chilled though miss some tense moments I suspect

I'm thinking as much the story beats. Don't want to give any spoilers in the thread but there's a few moments where you're in a certain location or see a certain thing and just get a wave of comfort or bracing yourself to re-enter or whatever. Food and drink is mainly just a chore.

Nobody playing Baldur's Gate 3 yet then?

Found Dave the Diver the other day. Spending a bit more time on it than I should.

Probably wise. I gave it a quick try to see how it looked, and I'm already 16 hours in.

12 minutes on iOS / Android is proper dark. It's free with a Netflix subscription.
Try not to read any spoilers

Finally got round to actually sitting through Pentiment over the last couple of weeks. Really liked it. I had it sort of worked out midway-ish through and felt it was a shame that I couldn’t follow through with what I thought. But the story that it took instead was good to follow as well and was satisfying when it did reach what I’d thought. Some quite emotional parts and some wonderful characters and small side stories to follow through it.
Then moved onto Firewatch as I’d never got round to playing it back in the day. Also enjoyed it, I expected a game of actually sitting in a tower reporting fires and picking up small incidental stories in the background so was actually quite a curve ball early on for me.

I also really enjoyed it but for some reason abandoned it about half way through. I think it was because I wanted to make different significant choices in either chapter two or the beginning of chapter 3 (don't remember which) but the game doesn't give you a decent of rollback option (just the last seven autosaves), so you have to start entirely from scratch.
I'll go back to it at some point but will probably start from scratch anyway, because the memory of what happened has faded a bit and it's highly useful to remember those things.

Similarly I stopped my first play through as I felt I didn’t do a good job in the first part and then took forever to get back to it. Started again as I had no idea where I was up to on that first go and was happy I did.

Anyone playing DMZ on Warzone? Revitalised a quickly-stale formula for me.
-
• #28297
I keep forgetting that it's free to play. I only really play multiplayer but I watch a few DMZ content creators quite a lot these days. It has been nicely refined since the first season.

I've not had much experience with extraction shooters but the definitive mission goals (beyond SURVIVE in Warzone proper) have really struck a chord with me.
It's really intriguing as playing solo is a different game altogether than with a squad. I've had some amazing highs and lows that I only remember from things like B:BC2.

What generation playstation?
Edit: sorry, I missed the console part, I was going to say I have a few PS4 games I can send on, but no spare console.
Such salty gatekeeping of this thread.
Sometimes days between posts on here and a couple of people post about a game and it's off to another thread.
