Was playing Battlefield 1 a bit recently, now the servers are fully deserted.
Was almost getting good again. -

Unfortunately with CoD, the days of just putting the disc in
I think I read somewhere that MW2 disc has 700mb of data, and kicks off a 100gb download....

Remember COD4? Those were the days.
Finally finished Deathloop after a stop/start, really enjoyed it

Yepp, got the remastered version a few years ago.
On the Modern Warfare 2019 issues, I've had the same fairly consistently. Bought at release and worked fine. Then occasionally (usually after an update but not always) it would tell me I'm missing download packs, download them fully, install, restart, packs are somehow missing. Sometimes took a couple of tries but it works eventually. Right pain in the arse though. This version is known for taking up a good chunk of memory. Even on my 1tb ps4 Pro, once I'd finished the campaign they left a little notice saying that if I'm struggling for space I could delete the campaign files.

Just seen on LinkedIn - MW2 hit $1bn sales revenue in 10 days. Pretty impressive & makes me think I need to change industries!
-
• #27457
If it helps, none of the developers are seeing that cash. They're just being crunched in toxic work environments whilst the suits make massive bonuses for rehashed content.

I'm pretty close to being a suit (minus the large bonus) in the toxic TV industry so that sounds ideal!

Perfect! Exploit away.

I finally got it to work (it was the ‘compatibility pack’) and have played a couple of missions and it was worth it. Fully engaging and reminds me of how good the original Cod4 and MW2 campaigns felt to play on PS3, after MW3 felt quite meh.
Was also just reading, as mentioned above, that the new MW2 basically isn’t on the disc and you have to download the entire thing. So horribly inconvenient. I don’t know what size the HD is on my PS4, but it feels like I better finish this game now before I want to switch to playing some other games for a while, as I had to clear space for them and I can’t be doing with waiting days to sort it out all over again.
Who’s on Ragnarok tomorrow?

Had been reading about this new Plague Tale thing, first one had gone completely under my radar. While on the fence I watched a video review mentioning it was on gamepass that I keep forgetting I have. Which was nice.
It looks incredible - in terms of both art direction and graphics quality - unless you really dislike rats. There are a lot of rats.
The protagonist isn't as endearing as Aloy or Ellie, and after a few hours the stealth gameplay is starting to feel a bit limited and repetitive. Having got used to many third-person games being rather open it seems very linear, at least as far as I've got.
Spoiler alert: There really are a lot of rats.

Minutes before boarding the 11 hour flight for which I bought the GBA stuff, the flash cart corrupts and no games can be accessed. Looking forward to the films now I guess.

never really played overwatch before but I'm enjoying OW2. Finding it to be kind of the happy medium of squad based shooters and something more casual.

Anyone have a few old xbox 360 controllers they want rid of?

I want the new God of War but don't want to pay £60. Anyone seen any deals?
-
• #27470
The first plague tale was great, I got started on the new one but my controller is a bit fucked, pulled it apart to clean up the drifting right stick, which is better but the left has gotten worse, and for a stealthy, don't step too close to those rats or move at the wrong time game, it's not very helpful. At least I'm not constantly looking up now.

Not sure what happened but I juggled the filters and have been finding some games.
Spent a couple of hours on it last night.
Positive K/D is about all I can hope for these days. -

Think he is after Ragnarok, but only dropped this week, so unlikely be cheap anywhere for a while.

Not PC for me unfortunately, my lowly rx480 is now down to the minimum specs for modern games.
I haven't played CoD in months but the landing screen of the games often launches with Warzone or which ever the most recent edition is. It was annoying but you should be able to scroll to the side & select the game you've actually bought. Either press x & see what's on the next screen or try scrolling from the one you're on.
Warzone is the free to play battle royal CoD game, it'll probably show you MW2 & maybe even the WW2 game as well. But you should select MW then it should get you onto the main menu. Unfortunately with CoD, the days of just putting the disc in & playing are long gone!
