I'll do you a Brown Tuesday deal: £30 plus postage.

The setting puts me in mind of Borderlands, which is an unfortunate comparison.
I think it's trying to be serious-ish but also a bit jokey, which is hard to pull off if you're half-expecting Borderlands. The po-faced "bad corporations and meaningful choices but they're all bad" attitude sits uneasily with the comedy too.
It keeps throwing loot at me but doesn't work as well as a loot shooter (comparing stats is harder and there are so many of them).
I mean, I'll still finish it.

it's probably an ace game if exposition dumps and lore delivered in the always enjoyable medium of "the data pad" are your bag.
not for me. i lack the patience.

Ah yes, ferreting out information on characters I haven't met yet by reading their HR reviews on a terminal in an abandoned building.
It is pretty, though. I just wish the combat was better, and possibly the stealth. And the writing. And the inventory.

i liked fallout.
is OW by the same people?
-
• #24232
As fallout 3, yes.

• #24233
But with less budget, and more "fuck it, this'll do for now".
I've little else to do between 9pm and 11pm, though, so I'll probably finish it too.

Unless I watch a few speedruns of it, and realise there's no point in playing any more.
cf. every other game I've played this year

It keeps throwing loot at me but doesn't work as well as a loot shooter (comparing stats is harder and there are so many of them).
The thing that drove me mad about The Division. Every 2 weeks there'd be a system wide nerf. Then more guns with more stats and more loot. Unless you were a dedicated agent, you were fucked cause you'd never have the right stuff or if you did finally get it, it would shortly be nerfed.
I fucking loved that game though. Wish I could get a team of friends together for it. Seems only I liked it 😂

I so want to get the LG CX, especially with current sales, but the 55" is probably a bit too big for my room (it would probably fit just).
Crying internally that the 48" is not getting any discounts...

Anyone watched any gameplay from the XIII remake? Looks like an absolute shambles. Last week, the original XIII outsold the newly released remake.

Wrong. New Vegas but not FO3. The founders of Obsidian all came from Black Isle, who developed FO (under Interplay) and FO2 way back when.
New Vegas 2 and OW2 will be developed side by side interestingly. All part of Microsoft Game Studios now anyways.
I’m still enjoying OW. It lacks the charm of a FO world for me - so much of what appeals to me about Fallout is a world stuck in the 1950s, but the gameplay is so Fallout it’s not even funny. Logging onto terminals etc. Maybe not giving it enough credit but it’s just Fallout with a different skin tbh. Which is no bad thing for me.

Ok, so close to buying the CX 55".
Just deciding between Currys and JL.
Currys got tempting deal with 1in20 chance of getting 1/2 of money back. Small chance but still a little extra than JL...Just need an extra little push from recent buyers:
@DethBeard @dt @croftIs it really really amazing and do I really need it if I play A LOT + have PS5.
Also, birthday on Monday sooo....As mentioned before, @Soul should be getting paid by LG.

Still was hoping for at least some little deal.

Richer Sounds was where I got mine from, took the free delivery option ordered on Tuesday and got it Friday.
I think you get a 6 year guarantee with RS too (For free) so that's nice.

picked up DOOM 64 and fight'n rage in the switch sale. some good bargains (incl. the usual third off nonsense on the first party stuff)

Interesting read says that the PS5 is currently outperforming the more powerful xbox

Still torn between wallmounted CX or the Samsung frame.
Leaning towards frame simply because it's got the single cable going to the TV and all cable management is handled in a separate box.
-
• #24247
I have been giving it a read funnily enough. What a bloody shambles. The original was so so good!

That’s why I spent £££ on a Samsung QLED when moved in to this place in March last year. Now we have the GX. don’t regret spending even more £££ to change.
-
• #24249
But the GX series has all the cables going into the TV doesn't it? The more I'm thinking about it you can buy a 15/20M cable from samsung and I can then just have the TV wall mounted all by itself and everything else the other side of the room.

Samsung's software shenanigans is a price worth paying for the breakout box.
ghost of tsushima has "buy at £12 in the sale a year down the line" written all over it imo
