am really enjoying FF7 remake. Playing on easy though as I don't have the brain power after work to master more complicated attacks. It does seem to have a more dark souls light sort of fighting, with spells/abilities you can utilize. Rather than turn base, it slows combat down as you cast stuff.
I did have to turn the music down though, it's like constant fast, somewhat like wandering around shinjuku is in real life.

Are Xbox fans prone to being a bit dodgy?
Yeah. Don't trust anyone who likes Xboxes.

Just opened up Minecraft.
What is all the fuss about? Was baffled and turned off after five minutes.

Usually play it safe with low to mid graphics favouring performance on games - just dipped into GeForce Now to try out Bannerlord on max settings. It's really spectacular.
This is a 'cinematic' video whatever that is, but it's recorded from an actual battle. It's already astonishing in early access. By the time it's fully released and the mods have been further developed it's going to be something else:

Think I need to find a new game. R6, pretty much all I play, is toxic even on PC now. I’ve been kicked three times this evening for no reason here the game even started. Never used to happen. So lame.

Anyone who's played the classic Castlevania's who didn't play them when they were younger? Tempted to pick up the SotN/Rondo of Blood set which are on sale but wondering if they hold up (not expecting them to be a modern game, but fun?) or is it just a nostalgia thing?

Lent my unplayed copy of red dead 2 to a friend, wondering if that’s a mistake, even though I’ve got a truckload of games to get to before it, but if lockdown rumbles on, that could be the massive time sink I need..

I've been playing it recently, feel like I'm barely scratching the surface even though I've sunk a fair few hours into it. The first few hours are extremely fucking tedious though.

Did I hear rumours of it heading to gamepass soon?

Sweet!

I'm looking forward to it, but must admit I'm getting a bit tired of all these open world games now... first world problems, of course.
Recently found myself going back and finishing off Halo 4 and then falling into ticking off achievements in the MCC. I still think that Halo 1 is SO good, especially in the MCC.

I've been playing a lot of BOTW, Death Stranding and FO4
Will RDR2 be more of the same, just with stetsons?
-
• #22193
Potentially, but throw in some extremely mundane missions as well. I'm playing it a fair bit at the minute and enjoying it though!

My brother recently found out you can "hand brake turn" a horse in RDR2 and teach it to do dressage.
-
• #22195
Yep, pretty dumb.
-
• #22196
The fact that you can teach dressage to real horses is dumb enough.

I've tried to hand break turn a couple but sexuality is apparently not a spectrum for our equine friends.

Installed the Xbox and Game Pass iPhone apps thinking I could use one or both of them to conveniently manage my console games (y’know with me being away from the lounge so much during lockdown) but not obvious if this is something either of the apps do, anyone know?

Trying Stadia as there's a two month pro trial thing. Loaded up Destiny 2. I have around 300 mbps downstream. Looks like a youtube video from a decade ago. Lag, amazingly, doesn't seem to be an issue though.

It seems to be really hit and miss, two people with the same connection speed can have totally different experiences.
My first XBox 360 died due to a dodgy fan which burned out a load of stuff on the motherboard. The One has been okay but definitely runs hot but thankfully not that loud.
