black-ops single player is absolute vomit. It's bored me to tears 3 times now, forcing me to turn it off, even though I haven't died once.

    Multi-player is fun tho.

  • I fancy playing some good single player so I'm going to reinstall Half Life 2 and play through it for the 3rd time I think

  • Go back and play MGS. You won't regret it.

  • Just played this awesome lil flash game on Newgrounds called OneChance, and is named so due to the fact your only allowed to play it once (unless you delete your browser cache)

Based on the short story of a Biochemist with a cure for most known illnesses, but consequently brings about the end of the world and death to all living beings in 6 days.

Def up there in top 5 flash games i've wasted my life playing. It almost didn't feel like a waste.

Wow, my 6 days ended up a little dark...

  • ^That is a dark game...
Would like to discuss it but will wait till more people have played it so we can compare notes.
Another contribution to the games as art debate i think

  • Pretty damn dark indeed...

    I'm playing it again!!!!

  • wow, that was very sad. I felt pretty powerless there. Unusual feeling in a videogame. Somehow, I don't feel like I lost or failed, despite the fact that I think i ended up dead on a bench with my daughter.

  • After OneChance, I stumbled upon 'Still'.

    Even darker...

    Love the post-rock.

edit - Just realised that they're both made by the same guy!

Wah, you got to keep yours?,
Mine dies right after the wife off'd herself..

  • all depends on your decisions doesn't it ;)

I saved myself and my daughter but nobody else :(

  • I bet it was that fucking park that did it.

  • that was a great little games, especially when you know that there's only 1% chance of 'saving' the world, well it give you that impresson.

  • I'm not sure 1% is correct Ed. That'd suggest there are 100 possible outcomes.

  • Okay, 10% then.

My guy just closed his eyes and died on the last day while at work.

  • I bet it was that fucking park that did it.

yeah that park killed my daughter

  • Have you ever tried this Batman, David?

If you finish that, I'll buy you a pint. One of the loveliest games ever.

what's the best emulator to use ?
there are so many it seems and i would like to play it on the PC (win7 x64) if possible which I'm sure it is.

  • yeah that park killed my daughter

Came back home from shaggin the woman at work to find my wife melting in the bathtub.

I just cracked up laughing i'm afraid.

  • I stayed faithful and she still melted.

  • So the moral is...

Shag what you can, your wife is just gonna melt anyway.

  • just been thinking about some of the good computer games I have played.

Forsaken 64 on the N64 was a pretty good multiplayer - with quite a trippy soundtrack - one of my favourite songs from the game

    - Forsaken 64 - Dead System[/ame]

seperately I also remember a game called capture the flag on the PC in the 1990s. tempted to try and get that again as it was a good fun turn based game - all about the sneak throgh cornfields to get past your opponent.

  • ^that looks like a tower defence game.

There are millions of itterations of TD games and they are madly addictive
    many more of them here:

    go there at your peril:-)

  • I was obsessed with TD games for a short while about a year ago. The one I was playing was particularly awesome, as you built the path for the baddies. It was the most popular one at the time...

  • obssessive games indeed. I like this one http://www.towerdefence.net/games-204-Warzone.php
Do you remember what your baddies bath game is called mark?

  • No, but I have a feeling it was the only reason people went to Kongregate when it first started...
