Iiyama are good for the price, they're meant to use the same panels as Samsung.

You run a game on your PC in one room and stream it over your network to a TV in another.

Steam controller is somewhere between acquired taste and shit. Link on the other hand is pretty amazing although I haven't actually used it that much.

ah so you need a PC - isnt there any of this direct-via-internet gaming console yet?

Been and failed.
OnLive was the great white hype, but never took off.
I think Sony bought them out and (possibly) used it for their PlayStation Now (which they recently nerfed to PS4 and PC only) -

You can play games from your PS4 over your wireless network on a computer, although it reduces the size/quality of the screen. I think the PS4 also does a streaming playing thing with older psx & ps2 games on their store.

Please help, I don't really understand computer games.
I have a PS3 with GTA V on which I still play occasionally. But I don't play any other games on it.
I also have a powerful PC, which has Steam on it. So I was going to buy GTA V on Steam and import (which means I could ditch the PS3 and get lose some clutter). But Steam price for GTA V has gone up to £39 when it's £26 on cdkeys.
If I want to import my character from PS3 GTA I have to do it by the 6th March as Rockstar are turning the feature off after that.
Is there any downside to not buying it through Steam? I guess I couldn't use it with a Steam box whereas I could if I bought it on Steam?
Is there anything else I should think about?

You can add any games to steam by their product key. Usually if you buy from CDKeys or the like they just give you the key, then from within Steam you use the Add Game, input the key and download.
The main downside of buying from a place like CDKeys is there's a chance the key was stolen or cracked, so may be revoked without notice in the future, however the bigger websites like CDkeys and All Key Shop are generally very good at replacing any keys which get revoked. -

£20 on Humble Store

Personally I stay away from pretty much anything that isn't Steam/Humble or direct from developer.

Thanks, this is why I asked!
Thanks Mick for the Humble link.
I bought it from there, got an activation code. That didn't work in Steam, so I put the activation code into Rockstar's site and now it wants me to download the PC version.
Does that mean I've cocked up and can't put it on Steam?

It doesn't look like it's the Steam version.
Shouldn't matter, you can still launch it from within Steam

You can add games already installed to steam. If only to use it to track time played and to open it. Not sure if updates work, haven't done it myself for a game which is already on steam

Thanks that's what I'd figured out - retail PC GTA V doesn't come with a Steam key. So I'll do that. Does that mean I'll be able to use it with a Steam link or not? I wouldn't have paid twice as much to buy it from Steam anyway though.
Also - I'm going to need a bigger hard drive. If I put this on a traditional HDD will it be slow? The SSD my Windows sits on isn't big enough...
Either of these get good reviews: http://www.ebuyer.com/store/Computer/cat/Monitors/subcat/27%22+-Monitors?price=0+TO+200&410=Yes
