You finished DS3?
Amazing I played 1 for years... Took me 6 months to knock of (with branwens) help Rosencrantz and gildenstern (what a day that was) and got lost after that in some eternal loop...
BloodBourne is tough but progressable.
Will get 3 in a year or so -

Alas I have yet to finish DS3, I beat 12 bosses and have 7 more to go.
DS3 is easier than the previous incarnations (but still way harder than most other games out there)
I do need to get back into it at some point. Might have to replay some earlier parts to get my eye back in -

I kind of assumed due to the high level recommendation that the DLCs were for after you've done the main game, am level 20 now and 32 seems a long way off as I'm not getting much xp from side quests
They were released after the main game, so most people would have played them after finishing the main quest.
But..
I believe the game feels better if the 'end' of your playthrough is the end of the main quest; Witcher 3 is the last Witcher game, and the main quest wraps up the Witcher story and decides the fait of Geralt and pretty much everyone else of note. If you then play through the DLC...well it don't feel right.
There are other issues too, but spoilers. Plenty of discussion elsewhere online but beware of ruining the game for you.

i thought blood and wine was a good way to wrap things up.

although it sucks being able to only get some of the funky armour and stuff when you've literally 100%'d the game and new game plus quickly makes it obsolete so maybe doing it first is a good shout.

Going in to the endgame with the upgrades and new moves from the DLC would be rad I reckon.
And I just want to smash an elf in the face with a spade. Is that too much to ask?

Why does Mad Max play so much better on W10 than macOS on the exact same machine. I was getting 30-50 fps (@1080) the other night in macOS so tried in W10 and was able to get 50-60 but with res set to 4K (still on a 1080 screen, I have no idea).
Looking forward to the full 4K experience this eve though...

Time spent optimising for an OS? Graphics API provided by the OS? DirectX? (I have no idea)

Ah yes, been stitched up by this before, defeating that final guy and getting the MegaUltraKiller weapon and realising you've just killed the only guy that warrants using the thing

Oh yeah I guess there's that whole new gwent faction too. I've been eyeing up some of the physical decks, they're not too bad for the prices I've seen but realistically only going to get looked at infrequently then gather dust somewhere

Gwent is sad.

Murdering foetus monster with sweet skills? Awesome.
-
• #16619
I was nice to the foetus monster
-
• #16620
It becomes an even weirder good floating foetus thing, and gwent is awesome, there's a whole stand alone game out soon.

LFGSS multiplayer gwent sessions?

The best seal of aproval the game has gotten for me is my housemate's reaction. She's ribbed me about computer games for years and has always been pretty anti even after I've shown her a few indie ones that aren't the norm. She gives me a knock whilst I'm playing W3 and she starts off with the jibes straight away cos I'm ignoring her to fight a difficult ice troll, 15 mins later she's been completely silent and then starts chiming in on my moral choices in a conversation "No what the fuck don't let him go he's a prick!" me,"Well the lore friendly version of Geralt is quite amoral.." her,"Fuck that he raped that bird stab the cunt!"..me,"Righto" and then she reminds me about the quest I was on before I got sidetracked and is getting the town, and character names right and shit and I barely know them. 2hrs later and she's rolling joints and holding them for me to smoke whilst pointing out when to counterattack

I've been eyeing up that standalone gwent, I've kind of plateaued and got that 90% fatigue setting in, afaik there's basically the Geralt of Rivia card to get and then it's just collecting randoms until the set is complete so basically one challenging match left, currently fucking up anyone I play. I still find it satisfying playing against monster decks and decoy/medic-ing villentretenmirth over and over to merk that hench front line up

Or getting into a spy/decoy off and drawing your entire deck and then hashing it out
-
• #16625
Did you show her Gwent?
I got Bloodborne and No Man's Sky.
NMS isn't that bad, quite enjoying buzzing about and finding new planets
Bloodborne hasn't grabbed me yet, just makes me want to fire up Dark Souls 3 and get stuck into that again.
