I tried to order it for the PC but it said the price was too low to use the voucher, it ends up cheaper to buy the PS3 version. Which is fine by me because it means less hackers.

Also I think it should be noted that SkyDancers post was at 1:30am, I'm going to assume he's drunk.

LCD or LED tv? And what size? I need a new one but I can't decide if the price difference is worth it. Anything over 42 inches seems to be plasma and that's great if you're watching football, but otherwise useless.

Got a panasonic viera vt50, 50" plasma reputed as the best plasma screen apart from those now defunct pioneer ones that cost a mint. To get the most out of the 3 d you need a big screen so it takes up most of your field of vision. I mor the couch closer to watch 3d and it really I rather good. The extra cost of going 3d really wasn't much over the same panel without 3d function

Yeah that's what I was worried about, the problem with plasma is the burn in, and the speed blur making it annoying for gaming. 3D doesn't really concern me, is it much of a difference?

The best thing about plasma is they don't blur, it's the LCD panels that have blur issues, that's why the high refresh rate LCD cost more. Burn in with modern plasma isn't a problem either, have been told it's kind of like running in a new car, after the first few hundred hours burn in won't occur unless you leave it static for days. The reason the plasma is still better for 3 d is because it has such quick refresh rate it doesn't get the blurring like the LCD and led do. The gaming I've tried in 3d is great ( wipeout) actually better than movies and way better than watching football in 3 d

Well there we go, it's always better to hav first hand accounts than second hand information.
3D really isn't my thing, to me it's just another gimmick until they perfect it. But I guess I was getting a bit caught up in the new LED technology, assuming it's the best.
Wipeout will always suck though.

The glasses do cost a bomb though and look really stupid buy still metal gear solid in 3D yes please

Xbox 360 just died on me. 3 red lights of doom. I looked on the microsoft website... I didn't even know the light on the power unit could go green?! Mine has been orange the whole time I've owned it. Unfortunately I can only assume that means it's a hardware problem, and my unit is well over 3 years old. Total fucking bull shit.

This year has been pretty shit. There's been illness, a death in the family, memory loss, and I'm now living on my own, in an expensive flat, with an Xbox that doesn't work. Dark times.
