Cribbed from an old Super Play (1993), when I was 13 and the world was a much bigger place and the Nintendo HQ was the centre of the universe I would have given a limb to visit this place

Metro Last Light is awesome! only just started playing it as the computer is hefty enough to run it on max setting.
Much better than Metro 2033.
Did like the small resemblance to Metro 2033 at the start.

Oh yeah I got the redux edition (both 2033 and Last light) as it was on sales too, 80% off.

I preferred 2033 personally, just felt a bit more apocalpyty and dire, LL was a bit closer to a generic FPS imo. Much better locations though I must say

2033 is free with gold, worth a play?
-
• #13422
One of my top ten games ever, free is a pretty good price

2033 redux is awesome. I got stuck in LL-redux so stopped. Some part with a bear ? Must have a go again though been a while

just felt a bit more apocalyptic and dire.
You're right, it felt real depressing right from the start, it's a little less colourful than Last Light too.
I have yet to play 2033 Redux as the reception is quite positive for the graphic boost alone.

I reckon it's worth it, it's not exactly a shoot-em up in the purest sense as you have to be careful with ammos (military grade and home made, latter is inferior and cause jamming), and prepared to feel frustrated not hitting your target.
No HUD, you go by feel, if the screen start to go red/heartbeat quicken, you're gunna die if you keep this up.
The story alone is worth playing, the book also worth reading too.
