  • Just booked the Destiny limited edition, was going for the ghost edition but they where all gone..

  • jealous! I couldn't find the limited edition for PS4 still in stock here in the US

  • I've been playing a lot of Nethack recently. I'm starting to feel like I have a better understanding of how to survive slightly longer and make the most of the objects I find, yet still find myself being killed by something mundane or unforeseen.

  • This will almost certainly happen in every single playthrough right up until the end of your real, meatspace-based life. I've been playing Nethack on and off for years and I've never really managed to get much further than Minetown which is pretty pathetic.

  • I started playing Nethack when it was first mentioned in this thread and the furthest I've got is level 9 in the Gnomish Mines (though this was a one off and I'm not sure I've got past level 6 on any other plays).

It's wonderfully simple but incredibly frustrating thanks to the seamlessly endless list of things that can hinder and kill you. The fact that every play through is different due to the randomly generated maps and numerous hurdles you face definitely makes it very re-playable. Maybe one day I'll succeed.

  • Maybe one day I'll succeed.

This is what keeps me going too >:(

Incidentally, I mentioned Rogue Legacy here a couple of weeks ago - it's a similar game in that it's all randomly-generated dungeons and no saves, weird shrines etc. It's worth bagging in the Steam sales if it ever becomes available again (not sure I'd pay 11 quid for it, though).

  • For a slightly more light-hearted, but still @bothwell approved game, try Kingdom of Loathing. Still lots of things to kill you including @'s, but some good humour there too

  • Xenonauts on sale on Humble and Mark of the Ninja on sale on Steam. Very much recommend both.

    Daily deals, so hurry!

  • Is it 2006 again? Jeez, I remember spending many an hour playing KoL with my friends when I was like 15.

  • You were 15 in 2006? When I was 15 I was playing Red Alert, Tomb Raider 2, Quake 2 and one of the greatest games ever Tyrian:

  • I can't even remember what I was playing when I was 15 as it was so very, very long ago.

  • we were sniffing glue and stealing car stereos.

  • Was that GTA 4 or 5 ?

  • Anybody selling some Xbox One games? Should have Xbox One soon...

Especially after Titanfall! Please sell me that one.

  • Had a little hungover MK8 session yesterday, finally snagged the gold kart... I think the hangover helped, totally relaxed driving... Now to get all three stars on every track on 150cc... #saddo

  • @Soul

Thank you, but prefer boxes from digital :)

  • You can't please everyone...

How'd you get the golden kart? I'm doing the mirror tracks at the mo, having to relearn all the corners that I took on instinct.

  • Tyrian was so much fun.

You need to get at least one star in every cup... Mirror mode is fun, I've been jumping back and forth between the two, not as confusing as it first was...

  • Just a heads up - Metro: Last Light is a fiver on steam.

  • That's worth it if the presale for redux versions is still available.

  • That's with all 6 DLCs too, fucking bargain tbh

  • Just picked up that, Metro 2033 and Bioshock Infinite with Season Pass bundle.

God knows when I will ever play them, but whatever....
