Rosie came home with guitar hero + all accompanying instruments. This evening has involved a lot of strumming and banging. I am sore.
Get Rock Band 3 on disc and check out customs:

Really easy to set up.

Great little article... You could also fire a red shell backwards in SMK, I used to get my mate all the time... He didn't have the skills to pull it off, drove him mad...

Day Z quite drunk was interesting... getting quite hooked now, was close to pulling a sickie today so I could stay at home and play it, thats normal right?
Ben, never bad mouth The Walking Dead series... might check the game out on iPhone, same as other versions?
I have contemplated that quite a bit recently as I haven't had much time to play in the evenings. I have only ever seen one person who shot me in the face. Since playing on a hardcore server I haven't seen anyone. Although I have spent most of my time in the north getting geared!

Has anyone played Watch Dogs yet?
I'd give it a go, but don't want to pay £45 for a game, that I'd play maybe once a week, if that.

I wouldn't pay money for it(a friend who did then got a new graphics card so got a free copy from that which I got).
But yeah the game is just really really really buggy. The guy can't jump when just running around he can only vault over stuff so if there is nothing to vault over meh
The game also has huge plot holes and just things that make you think "wtf?" like lots of ubisoft games it has the tower things to unlock the maps but as they have the whole hacker thing going on you needlessly need to climb about loads and hack into the tower which you then think "damn would hate to have a legit reason to get into that tower to like service the antenna or something".
The money he spends all day and night hacking from random strangers actually has no use. The guns you can buy or just wait until you kill someone with one and take it, the cars you get in random hacks on people in the street or just by driving them and the outfits as explained under are all the same. No property, no random minigames to waste cash on, just pointless.
Also the cars handle like poo and you can wheelie the motorbikes forever with no fear of falling off ever which lots of games have but meh
Lastly the game developers epic amounts of lazy at every turn... yep that's 6 "different" outfits, the game gives you a great choice of hat style 1 with jacket style 1 and hat style 2 with jacket style 2 in a large range of recolours.

Just registered on a private Diablo II server. Seems to be a lot of activity, but not so much on HC. At least not too many open games. I probably gotta get to know some people first to get the real experience.

Spent a hell of a lot of time on this (around 70 hours or so at the moment), awesome little game. Great combination of relatively decent physics simulation with Worms-esque humour. Recently started playing around with some mods to make it a bit more realistic/challenging. Currently playing with mods to simulate proper aerodynamics, life-support systems and communication networks to fly unmanned missions. It's great that you can set your own difficulty level in such an in-depth manner. Considering it's still in relatively early development there's much more to come from it.

I got a little bored of KSP - I kept having to abandon Kerbals in weird orbits, having singularly failed to grasp the basic concepts of how to intercept orbits.
I feel a bit dumb - I mean FFS, it's a game, not rocket science.

For those who have some time to kill during the summer and wanna make cash while gaming, in Madrid:
Quite some job offers at EA Games. I think there are jobs for English speakers too, but mastering a second language opens up more options. I applied for Videogame Tester Dutch. Waiting to get that call :)

I went off it for a while after trying to set up a communications network having not grasped that you can't just use 1 antenna to link between your unmanned craft and mission control which confused the hell out of me for a while ending up with several dead satellites orbiting the planet. There a few things more fantastically annoying that starting a descent only for your communications network to be blocked off by a passing moon/planet leaving you to watch your pride and joy slam into your target.
I heard a great little phrase that sums up the game. There are 2 ways to fail in KSP, you can either miss your target, or hit your target.
P.S. Check out this video if you have the time, without doubt the best mission I've ever seen in the game. If you're short on time check out the landing at the 27 minute mark. Absolutely insane!

After a little lurking here I've decided to delve into DayZ. Fuck me it's infuriating. But I suspect once there's a stable release it could be pretty good. Crazy learning curve. I decided not to read any guides etc before and just see how I got on. Kept starving and dehydrating to death despite my bags overflowing with cans of food. Only by chance did I find out that you don't actually need a can opener to get into those peaches, but a rusty axe would suffice. For some reason I've been spawning in the middle of nowhere for a while. I eventually made my way to the airfield in the north east and it was basically empty (bar some guy who crawled on the floor towards me, took off all his clothes, danced and then died). So I stocked up on amazing gear then to celebrate I had a can of beer. Guess that can was the one in 50 I've been reading about that was bugged.
'You feel a pain in your leg'.
'You are dead'.
Nah, looks shit... I'm sure they'll update that in time, piss poor IMO...
