I'm playing Halo 3 at the moment! Bioshock and 2 is great. Can't get on with Fallout 3,it's too big!

Bioshock is good and all but I'd really go for a new ip at this stage. Remember system shock 2? Possibly the best/scariest video game every made and basically the predecessor to Bioshock. These guys make great games, I just llike to see something new.

fallout 3 is awesome when you get into it. It kind of lost its appeal for me though once id completed the story line, although I know a lot of people who have carried on playing it for hours after completing the story line as there are lots of side quests to get on with. -

Fallout 3 concentrated on the graphics and not enough on the gameplay. I thought it was completely rubbish, good eye candy but no substance. A bit like Simon Cowell's portfolio

If you like bioshock series you should read atlas shrugged by ayn rand. As that was where the basic story is from. It's not a quick read tho, by any stretch, but it's worth it.

ever since i had to put my xbox 360 in storage i have been playing an awful lot of iphone games. Currently working my way through The Quest. It's like daggerfall, but playable, and a bit more lo-fi (if that is humanly possible!) and with a great sense of humour. The side quests are epically good and there seems to be billions of them. Also there are at least 8 or 9 expansion packs.
It's also available on loads of other platforms (including PC, it seems). Give it a go if you fancy some oldskool first person RPG fun.

Good choice spencey!!!
I moaned about a lack of channels and they've given me the "world" pack for free for 3 months. It's pretty epic, been watching loads of movies and plenty of junk too.

Ha ha I might just try that!
Also might get sky movies before long. -

New Bioshock looks.... hmm, well, I KNOW it'll be a good game, but basing a game world at the bottom of the ocean, with it's leaks and creaks and refracted light, was genius. I'll keep an open mind though, if the same people are working on it they can't go wrong.

Actually it looks the nuts:

it's going to be pretty weird, having a city under the ocean feel somewhat more realistic than a floating city in the city!
plus it's pretty gloomy under the sea, can understand why they chosen the sky over the ocean.

How much does this remind you of Bioshock?;

I like baseball and since baseball games generally aren't available in the uk, will be buying one whilst I'm in the states...
that is all.
ps I'll probably get madden 11 as well whilst I'm at it, if I can get it cheap enough..

If you're getting those for X360 check if they are region locked first otherwise you'll be disappointed when you return. PS3 games should be fine.

Not for a long time yet chaps. Battery life is always going to be an issue, until they can make things less battery hungry or develop better longer lasting batteries. Besides no die hard gamers are going to crowd around a 4inch screen.
I think the future is in streaming games on demand.

rosmal ps3 all the way...
thanks for the advice though, gonna hit up a gamespot this afternoon and have a check on prices, no point in buying games in the states if they are going to cost the same as in the uk...
it also set in the 1950's, an alternative past.
it's a very story-driven games, but extremely well though out that it doesn't deterred you from actions.
