  • Have I died and gone to Heaven?

Street Fighter vs Tekken has been announced!!

This is a good day, indeed.

  • The nerds watching that video were excitable huh?

  • isnt gonna do my tendonitis any good..... looks the biz!

  • A while ago I posted that I was apprehensive about a third Deus Ex game.
The first, I loved dearly. The second had some appealing traits but was largely rushed to its detriment.

On hearing about Deus Ex: Human Revolution I was sceptical. The first teaser trailer emerged. It revealed nothing much. People analysed it frame by frame looking for clues. It was basically just a 30 second motion graphic of the title.

The first trailer arrived at GDC 2010.

This was followed by some very lyrical, even pretentious blogs by the devs. Things didn't look good.

At E3 2010, the third video was released. Watch it full screen and all the way to the end if you can.

Order is now restored in the universe.

  • Playing through Dragon Age on the PS3 at the moment. Next on my list is Demons Souls, that game looks rock hard, but fun!

  • I finished Bioshock 2 last night.
    ** WARNING! SPOILERS! WARNING! **

I got the "good" ending, which I was expecting as I rescued all the little sisters, etc. I loved the bit where you play as a little sister, seeing Rapture from a completely different perspective was pretty cool. Also towards the end you get some pretty awesome plasmids (getting a big sister on your side is rather handy) so you don't really have to do much fighting.
I didn't try to go everywhere and get every item, just played through the story, so I might have to have another run through!

me too in fact deus ex together with half life kick-started the mature gamer concept IMO. (did enjoy the thief games for similar reasons though in those stealth was the only option rather than giving choice )

The game had an adult intelligent story and innovative game play and the RPG elements in deus ex gave gamers the opportunity to control the way the character and story developed. and the blade runnner vibe was icing on the cake.

    Can;t wait for this

  • it's halo
but not as we know it

    some background here

+1 to that. deus ex is still an unmatched game for me. Hong Kong was just such an incredible level... Getting inside the lab with the glass floor and seeing them experimenting on aliens, all totally superfluous to the story... amazing.

I love that part, I though it was fantastic that they included that, it's great to find out why the LS were so calm and calculated in such a hostile environment, until I realise that they're genetically made to see the world in a different light.

  • Yeah it was great, though I did get a shock when you go to harvest ADAM and your perspective switches suddenly. Such a contrast.

  • There's no way that this:
YouTube- American McGee's Alice: Madness Returns

will be nearly as epic as this was:
    YouTube- American McGee's Alice trailer

Mcgee efforts since that work of genius have been average
    anyone remember crapland?

  • Oh my I've forgetton about Alice, used to love it when it was released.

let see how bad the new one is, they defintely made this after the next (abet rubbish) Alice film released recently.

  • yea alice had amazing graphics for its day . Really surreal and interesting gameplay.
This new one will be dire

  • the trailer for the new xcom has got me pretty excited!

  • **Moving house

**What broadband would you guys recommend for someone who likes gaming? Not too expensive.

Also the caps which are on home broadband, like 40bg for example am I going to hit that limit playing games?

  • I've been on o2 (as a mobile phone user too) and it was sweet!

about to move over to Sky, but again i've got the TV and everything else.

both were/are £7.50 a month, with no DL limits. BT is an absolute rip off, and their justification was...

"but this is the really good broadband!"

and at £25 a month for unlimited DL's I told them where they could go!

  • So I get the broadband with O2 and then the line rental with BT still?

Parents are with Sky and rank it highly (we've been through loads of bb suppliers)

  • if you can break your contract with BT you can also move your line rental over to o2 too.

You've got to be an o2 mobile user first though.

BT wanted to charge £128 to connect my phone and then only free calls on the weekend, whereas Sky are doing this for free, and offering free evening and weekend calls for 50p a month cheaper.

Royal mail also activate phone lines for around £60 after a month you can switch directly to o2. Again this is free evening and weekend, and cheaper than BT

My o2 broadband has been awesome, and I would have carried it on if they gave me line activation. As is with Sky they gave me the best deal, and I was getting the TV anyway so it just made sense. If you're not getting the TV then there's a lot of options to go down.

  • do any of you geeks want my ps2 and box of games? a friend gave it to me ages ago, and i have played it about twice.
