I once had a Harrod's Christmas hamper fall apart in my bag. Stank of caviar and Quail's eggs for weeks; the cleaning staff nearly resigned over the matter.

What's wrong with using a flask?
Nothing. Just make sure you bag it.
-
• #29
And bag the soup first before you put it in the flask as well for good measure.

Ok; KattieP shops at M&S; Balki shops at Waitrose. Anyone had any mishaps on the way home from Fortnum and Mason?
Generally a tesco girl - I live in Brixton and there is no waitrose and only a poor excuse for an m&s. The offending soup was 9 days out of date... I was planning on living on the edge today. Now I'm going hungry.

As the chilled soup warmed up the gases produced by fermenting lentils would have expanded and blown that lid off. Possibly.

Good hypothesis, I'll give you that. Heres another: Perhaps it was the shear blunt force trauma inflicted by my d-lock to the flimisical plastic tub that caused it to pop its top?

Stick it in your water bottle as nature intended and drink it from the said water bottle on route, pooring the last 1/3rd over your head to cool off

Blimey. That sounds like some angry bag-stuffing.

Brixton Tesco rocks! M&S sux ballz... Alternatively, make your own soup with cheap veggies from Brixton Market, bag the soup, put bagged soup in flask, bag flask, put in sturdy waterproof box, call Creative and courier the box to your office in a well padded compartment on one of their cargo bikes... This should work, if it doesn't, claim damages/sue Creative and use a different courier company next time...
