My lid is getting tired so should probably look for a new one. Predominantly Herne Hill use, with occasional all day social rides. Up to £150. Im slow, so marginal gains won't add up to much.
Shortlist so far...
Giro Air attack - don't really like the look but would use the visor for a keirin and sprinting which I enjoy more than long bunch races.Casco Speedster - as above but looks better - probably no more aero than a regular lid, though?
Bontrager Ballista - no option to put a visor on if I want to, but looks best of the aero road lids, otherwise.
Catlike Mixino with aero shell - need to check covers can be used a HH, would give me a few options if they can, but no visor.
edit Opinions on these four?

Anything else I should consider?
Evade on sale at Sigma at the mo.

The bont is lighter, (apparently) more aero in the tunnel and looks better, though.
Actually, I think I've considered all the other options. Any opinions on those four? -

Anyone seen the new Specialized Airnet in the flesh?
-
• #756
Definitely don't get an Air Attack. Between the Evade, Ballista and Kask Protone if you want something that's actually aero. Also consider the C-Originals G14 if you want something full on bongo.

Also consider the C-Originals G14
Not seen that one.
£90 and 0.5W off a bambino at 30mph? And the option to make it look less douche too... -

Just got me a Bontrager Ballista. It's really comfy and doesn't feel any hotter than my standard helmet.

POC Octal Raceday are £115 on Wiggle at the moment with the code Wiggle1.
Gone from an S-Works 2D medium to Octal medium. POC is marginally bigger

Only worn it a few times but really like it so far. It sits a little more forward than other helmets, I think because of the air channels but is very comfortable and doesn't weigh much which helps minimise any shaking. I have a more oval than round shaped head and it fits me well. I'm yet to try it in hotter weather, for obvious reasons but I can't find a fault with it yet.

Looks like a good deal on the Mavic Cosmic Ultimate on CRC. My Lazer 02 could do with some upgrading.
