  • I was never sure if my brother preferred the taste of earwax or bogies. I never saw him eat maltloaf though.

  • Gotta draw the line somewhere.

  • Sesame bagel (toasted), mayonnaise on one side, harissa on the other, herby fermented tofu, rocket.

  • This is my new favourite thread. Reminded me of something.

Where I was a kid, I had it in my head that my father's favourite sandwich was peanut butter and garlic.

Some years later, we were going to the boat show in Earl's Court. I was a teenager by this time. He was going to pick me up in his van, early, and drive us down there. I agreed to make some sandwiches, which we ate whilst waiting outside for the place to open. I'd made peanut butter with raw crushed garlic sandwiches. As far as I can remember they were nice if a touch astringent.

Then we spent the rest of the morning clambering around boats in the company of boat salesmen.

    We did not buy one.

  • Boiled potato, aubergine, mushroom, spinach between two slices of toast with mustard. And pepper and salt.

  • Peanut butter, bacon, tomato ketchup.
    You're welcome.

  • We did not buy one.

Well who would ever need their own boat salesman?

  • Cheese, mayo and TUC biscuits on seeded bread. Yum.

  • Peanut butter & spicy pickled onions - that's the real winner.

  • Crunchy peanut butter ,crisp streaky bacon , banana, maple syrup on toasted bread .

  • There is only 1 time for it- and it’s in a PBJ. Otherwise I’m With you all the way. Crunchy just tastes better.

  • Fake chicken, cucumber, tomatoes, cheddar cheese, spring onions and hummus double decker sandwich.

  • I've just had an amazing sandwich, thought I'd share...

Rye mountain bread wrap, babagnoush (home made, heavy on the lemon), roasted red peppers (homemade, stored in olive oil) and a couple of anchovies... And a completely unnecessary squirt of Hellman's...

    Incredible...

  • Has peanut butter and Philadelphia cheese been covered?

  • No but I'll put forward Marmite & Philadelphia

  • fish fingers, chipotle hot sauce, lettuce, sriracha mayo

  • Ace combo! Add chopped celery to wind hippy up.

  • chipotle hot sauce

I love the Tabasco Chipotle. Best I've found really. Hard to find in shops, I ended up ordering three bottles from Errmerzonnn

  • a boots meal deal sandwich (don't care what kind) and you open it up

  • Yes! I found it in Lidl a while back and bought 2 bottles, wish I'd got more.

  • cumberland sausage tommy ketch and a good helping of kimchi

    nyom nyom

  • boursin & bacon.

  • Brie, Bacon and chilli chutney is my hangover sandwich of choice.
Helpfully Lidl usually have all the component ingredients, and is a 3 minute stagger from my house.

  • Southern fried chicken, sweet chilli sauce and fried egg

  • Pastrami, gherkin, pineapple and cranberry jelly in a wholemeal bap. Lovely.
