This is my new favourite thread. Reminded me of something.
Where I was a kid, I had it in my head that my father's favourite sandwich was peanut butter and garlic.
Some years later, we were going to the boat show in Earl's Court. I was a teenager by this time. He was going to pick me up in his van, early, and drive us down there. I agreed to make some sandwiches, which we ate whilst waiting outside for the place to open. I'd made peanut butter with raw crushed garlic sandwiches. As far as I can remember they were nice if a touch astringent.
Then we spent the rest of the morning clambering around boats in the company of boat salesmen.
We did not buy one.

There is only 1 time for it- and it’s in a PBJ. Otherwise I’m With you all the way. Crunchy just tastes better.

I've just had an amazing sandwich, thought I'd share...
Rye mountain bread wrap, babagnoush (home made, heavy on the lemon), roasted red peppers (homemade, stored in olive oil) and a couple of anchovies... And a completely unnecessary squirt of Hellman's...
Incredible...

Pastrami, gherkin, pineapple and cranberry jelly in a wholemeal bap. Lovely.
I was never sure if my brother preferred the taste of earwax or bogies. I never saw him eat maltloaf though.
