Are you pinching the tube under the tyre bead?
Are you pushing the valve up a bit before inflating to make sure the valve isn't squashed under the bead?
Are you damaging the valve during vigorous pumping? -

It's definitely things from the road puncturing the actual tyre and tube as it's been a tiny hole each time on the outside part of the tube where it presses against the inside of the road contacting part of the tyre (if that makes any sense)

Right. Are you sure you removed the offending item (the Conti haha) after a puncture?
I've had a case where a very fine piece of wire has gone through and stuck in the tyre, invisible and barely felt when running a finger inside the tyre. Took out a couple of tubes that did. That's why I always line up the tyre label with valve so you can match up the tube's hole with the area on the tyre in cases where you can't find the offending hole/glass/wire/rock/etc

^^are you using the correct size tube?

I checked and the last couple punctures have been in different spots on the tube.
I think i'm just getting really unlucky, going to order some tougher tyres anyway. Will have one last long check of the tyres tomorrow to see if I can find anything like the fine wire issue you had yourself...@joao
yup correct tubes -

Yes, well, you are using the devil's tyres..

I had around 15 punctures in 1 month (beginning Dec to mid Jan) using Conti GP 4000 on the front...
pretty fucking shocking considering they alegedly have a kevlar belt in them which does nothing to stop anything sharp (glass but mostly flint, by far the worst). I thought this must be just bad luck, but no.I gave up in the end, which is a shame cos the tire rode nicely but was very weak against punctures.
Back to Schwalbe for me, which has suffered 1 puncture in 3 years so far.
if anyone wants the tyre they can have it, it has so many holes in it you could use it as a sieve if need be :)

yea, basically one every 2 days.
one day i had a puncture on the way to work and one on the way back, all on the same tyre.

Had this with my Travel contacts. I think the extra thick central tread which kills the ride quality, also retains offensive sharp objects. Took me a while to notice as I kept mounting the inner in opposite directions. This created a indecipherable pattern of punctures*.
(*OK I might have been a bit dense)

GP4000s are actually meant to be ok. I'd still not use them (unless they were free).
Are you sure someone who didn't like you wasn't just stabbing your tyre?

yea, pulled out the piece of flint/glass every time.
meh, not doing conti again.
Vittoria or Schwalbe are very good.

I know. I have 6 Vittoria, 1 Schwalbe and 1 Specialized tyre in action at the moment. Yeah Vittoria are okay...

Well I replaced the cuntinental sport contacts with a pair of michelin white wall world tours and I'm much happier now.
No punctures to report and they also look very nice on my bike, 5.99 each, bargain!
This is fucking crazy now, another flat.
I have triple checked the rims and I cannot see a thing wrong with them, I'm sure it's these tyres that are just soft as shit so if a small stone even comes near them it makes a hole.....
ARRRRRRGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!
