O.k, its autumn, long nights and introspection. Lets have a Dub thread,
starting with these favourites:-
YouTube - Mutabaruka---Dis Poem
Wooooooaaaaaah. I think I've been waiting about 20 years to hear that! Thanks mf. Bobby Konders used a little edit of this years ago, never heard the whole thing.
Loads of good things up there^. Twinkle Bros I used to love! Scientist did it for me. And going straight in to the On-U stuff might not win you many friends, MF, but consider me one! I love OnU with a passion close to obsession.
And Tubby. No need to say anything about Tubby. Called 'King' for a reason.
I used to love that Sly and Robbie cut, Revolution, then I heard this (below), before hearing the Tamlins version that Revolution is the riddim of. I think Nina's version will be played at my funeral. Its one of the most beautiful things I've ever heard.
YouTube - nina simone- baltimore
YouTube - Golden Locks - Bim Sherman.
Not a dub. But I don't care. Its Bim Sherman. The version of this on 'African Rubber Dub' RULES. But not on Youtube. Meh.
YouTube- Bim Sherman - Lovers Leap + Dub
More Bim. Version halfway through.

More!

This isn't a dub but the feeling is there. It's also one of my favourite musical performances of all time and I wanted to share it...
