A much better investment than a heavy retro saddle, lurid rubber accoutrements, or tokenistic NJS miscellania.
Blaspheme!

Still have a couple of new appointments free this Thursday morning. Those of you who have been will know it's turning into a physio / social in the waiting area.

Evening all. Another busy clinic this evening. My waiting area is becoming a social gathering of London's cycle community.
I will be doing a Bicycle Fitting evening seminar in a few weeks time in Kentish Town. Will post an update nearer the time.

Greetings all
Just a quick plug for bike-fittings that I undertake in our Kentish Town Clinic. Sessions are one hour long and consist of the following:
Assessment of lower limb and lumbar flexibility
Review of current riding position (bike will be supported on a Turbo Trainer)
Discussion of suitable alterations and recommendations
Alteration of bike in agreement with you to optimise biomechanics (tailored to any anatomial variances you may have)
Recommendation for future changesThe sessions are by prior arrangement only and cost £80.
Any questions please feel free to ask.
Regards,
Michael.

Hi all,
Aplogies but I'm doing a cheeky bump to the thread as there have been a few new threads posted recently requesting advice for musculoskeletal complaints.
Ask away for honest and evidence informed and clinically relevant information
Regards,
Michael.

Michael is a Charlatan! I recently paid him good money to bend my delicate recovering broken thumb into a number of excruciatingly painful positions, allegedly in the name of "physiotherapy".
Only kidding, Michael has a lovely bedside manor and actually does appear to know what he's doing. I can thoroughly recommend his services.

I wondered where you were going there Dan.
Hope all is well.

I've had questions on good books on cycle training / advice / injuries etc. There are dozens out there. I'd say Serious Cycling (2nd ed.) by Edmund Burke is a good readable mix of evidence and expert opinion.

The clinic is recognised by all major health insurance companies (BUPA, AXA PPP, Norwich Union, Pru etc).
You will normally need a referral from your GP before your insurer will authorise treatment. Once you can an authorisation code you can book in for treatment and we'll take care of the rest.

There are a few slots available this week. My availability will be slightly reduced through June and July but I will continue to run Cyclist clinics throughout this period.

We are now offering ultrasound guided injection through our clinics.
We are one of a few private clinics registered for and offering such a service and many insurance providers will cover this in their policies since it is a third of the cost of having the same intervention performed by a Radiologist or Orthopaedic Consultant.
Please contact me for more details.

Saw Michael, Bluerip00, today for my knee. Very very good, plenty recommended
I've been twice now, with one session to go, then it's my responsibility to do the maintenance. Definitely not the one-size-fits-all treatment/advice I've had from assorted other health professionals.
A much better investment than a heavy retro saddle, lurid rubber accoutrements, or tokenistic NJS miscellania.
