while walking with a friend in the hills behind Barcelona i witnessed earthshine. never seen it before and was unaware of the phenomenon. for a second or two i thought it was some apocalyptic event where humanity was about to pay for it's sins but it's just light reflecting off the earth and illuminating the moon.

why can we see the moon in the daytime on really cold, clear days?
-
• #48
Due to the earths poition on its axis.

i want to go on a ride in the direction of the moon, for as long as i can manage before i have to return home.

Due to the earths poition on its axis.
aye, but why do we see it on some clear days and not others and is it the moon itself or a reflection?
The moon watches me through the window at night.
I don't trust it.
