  • The moon watches me through the window at night.

    I don't trust it.

  • while walking with a friend in the hills behind Barcelona i witnessed earthshine. never seen it before and was unaware of the phenomenon. for a second or two i thought it was some apocalyptic event where humanity was about to pay for it's sins but it's just light reflecting off the earth and illuminating the moon.

  • has anyone ever seen this in the U.K?

  • I saw the cresent you saw the whole of the moon.

To reach too high too far too soon

Came like a comet blazing your trail

    A Waterboys fan eh?

  • nice fwockin moon thread.

anyone ever been on it from here?

  • It kept me happy on the Dunwich Dynamo.

  • 'Vanilla rapist'

  • I'm a big fan of the 94% waning gibbous moon.

  • Nothing like a good ice halo around the moon on a frosty winters night!

  • The first 20 or so comments on this were absolutely brilliant....

  • " I'm a big fan of the 94% waning gibbous moon. "

hey what a coincidence.... me too

  • The first 20 or so comments on this were absolutely brilliant....

    i was drunk.

    just re-read them.

i think i got away with it.

being drunk on the internet is a little risky.

i was looking for the moon last night. but i could not see it.

    hopefully tonight.

  • nice fwockin moon thread.

anyone ever been on it from here?

    lol.

  • Gibbous is my new favourite word.

  • i was drunk.

    Really? :p

    It was still brilliant...

  • I went to the Moon looking for cheese.

    I was disappointed.

  • yeah phil, sano was right this thread is kind of lovely. wools made a nice point about the TNRC too. but really, the moon is one of those things that works best alone.

  • why can we see the moon in the daytime on really cold, clear days?

  • Due to the earths poition on its axis.

  • i want to go on a ride in the direction of the moon, for as long as i can manage before i have to return home.

  • Due to the earths poition on its axis.

aye, but why do we see it on some clear days and not others and is it the moon itself or a reflection?
