  • I'm def not into tricksters but I love this, (snaps credit card..£350 f&f)

Agree, I like that and I am not into them either (maybe after seeing so many of them I am becoming desensitized!)

Looks very clean, or would do without the fancy gusset thing.

    Yes; UTFS.

  • Yes, don't buy either. By a "trick" bike with a more suitable gearing.

The first is a track bike. The second is a commuter-type singlespeed bike.

Do you wear a kevlar vest? No?

Shame....you'll need it in the coming minutes.

  • Points given though, for having the MOST suitable name for anyone asking this type of question.

  • i can see the email to terry dolan .

    Could you recommend any?

  • Search "OTP 500" and you'll find a list of answers as long as your arm.

You may need 36 or 48 spoked wheels, for the extra strength; but that will be your call.

  • Or try searching "MTB OTP", and go single speed.

  • Liking this from Raleigh USA

Is the saddle on this a Dia compe?

  • no. That's a Brooks.
    This is a DC

  • Love that new Dolan seta frame.
I am sad, but happy that it is £800!!!

  • @ washedup, check out a surly if you can, that's what i did (not for tricks though) and am well happy. the search is your friend, check out the OTP lists lovingly put together by GA2G.

  • Not so lovingly at the moment. I want to kick this fucking computer to death!!!

    And breathe.............

  • Saw this new crank on a few bikes at the Cycle Show today (Pashley Clubman, Condor Classico Pista, Fixie Inc BlackJack).....kind of a Campag replica.

The reps at the various stands were quite tight-lipped about who supplied it and Pashley had a bit of tape covering up what I assume was the logo!- anyone got any further info?

Also, anyone have an idea what these polished rims are - or where I can get some similar?!

Were these the ones with 56 teeth chain ring?

Spoke to the Pashley guy, and he said they were a special edition which they only got 50 of, but didn't say what they are.

    (I want the clubman, V.nice but £1250!)

Not sure on the teeth count, the Condor Classico Pista had one with their own-branded 46t or 48t chainring on - there was also on one the Fixie inc BlackJack.

As I say the reps weren't saying much but they all 'hinted' that the cranks were pre-production units, that would be on sale 'soon'.

Re the Clubman, to my mind it's an odd mix of 531 road frame and (in the case of the cream one) hub brakes. I love Pashleys, I have one of my own and could quite happily justify adding a Guv'nor to my stable but with the Clubman I think they're heading into an already crowded market, especially at that price. I think they should stick to what they're good at.....
