Wow, I did not know that. Must be the same reason for those really deep rims.

True

Yeah the capo looks sweet. The "bullseye" ring has to go though.

Anyone know when condor usually release their 2010 bikes?
Usually around 2010... but it never happened before.
-
• #133
They release the 2009 model in Oct '08, so probably soon.

New capo looks better
Better than what exactly? Better than this......
I can't stand to see flat bars on a fast road frame. Needs drops, and a rider who knows what they're for. IMO.

ga2g - well that rider clearly doesn't know what the drops are for. SS and cross levers isn't going to give you many opportunities to go on the drops.

How about the new De Rosa Scattofisso track frame;

I disagree. Drops for when the road is clear ahead, and hands on the top of the bar for normal commuting. Seems not so unreasonable to me.

Or as they are using two brakes why not just use drop bar levers which are the right tool for the job. Braking possible when in drops and extra hand position.
I too agree with the comment that the rider probably doesn't know what they are doing and probably rides 100% on the tops anyway.
I do like the unpainted frame with all black components though. Tempting me to strip my frame now.

Funny, but I bet they charge more, for NOT painting it.
I like the Capo's new fork though. It looks like the one on the Nelson HE9001. Anyone know the manufacturer?

when it's not rush hour.

Looks like Cycle Surgery have the 2010 Specialized Globe bikes on sale already?

The Globe 2's are wearing either H+Sons or Velocity 42's, hence the big price discrepancy.
The Globe 1's are also on deep V's, but 32mm (it says), versus 42mm for the Globe 2's. -

I've got a Nelson turnng up tomorrow and the fork does look exactly the same. As I am not fan of the Nelson paint job I will be changing it to grey or light blue/green of some sort so coud just strip it but guess it wouldn't get a shine to it which lnks to your higher price comment.
Of course, not living in London means I can get a powder coat for 20 quid :-) -

The Specialized Globe seems to have something to it, I normally don´t like their bikes... but I like this.
