I nicked a hockey ball from school and just eyed up some nice plastic waste pipe the builders left behind... If I get time before Bestival I'll make up some mallets - give me something to do until my knee stops making loud noises!

Hockey balls are far too heavy, you will break someones ankles with one of those.
And what type of pipe did the builders leave behind? It has to be MDPE or HDPE, like the stuff used for mains gas, plastic guttering or plumbing tubing will be too thin .

I don't think you will find the right type of ball in the school sports cupboard. The best balls are roller hockey balls, like the Franklin ones, they have to be hollow and a bit squidgy

The weather is a cunt. Cancelled Polo this week due to piss from heavens. I did think of another covered car park where we could play but I don't think I can be bothered when there's low attendance and rain.
