I am also determined to make it down after my shameful no-show last week.
Ski Poles just arrived, I have also inherited some tools and maybe a drill (dont know if it works) so i should be knocking out mallets like nobodies business.
On an slightly related note does anyone have a LH/RH (or both) brake lever, 25.4? I want to add some more polo friendly bars but current brakes dont have clamps big enough, and before I get all the 'go brakeless' shouts i dont have polo gearing so would be unwise. If anyone wants to give me a smaller chainring and a bigger sproket then that'd be ace :)

on my way meant being in the studio, preparing to leave, going home to change front wheel and gearing, take off brake, eat something, come out again and go to preston park.
which takes some time...Really bummed about my striped thread, but now with two bikes, I'll just need one side of the hub and no more dual gearing.
Actually, I might buy a surly dingle to put on the Holdsworth and use a 3/32 chain and a dual chainring, so like my current setup but without having to flip wheel over each time for the hilly sections (fixed touring)
Anyone's got a 24 to 30 tooth 110bcd 1/8th chainring?
Maybe I should look into bmx cranks for the polo bike. -

Maybe I should look into bmx cranks for the polo bike.Don't get 2 chainrings unless you connect a pice of chain to the larger ring every time you play- the first time you fall off with an exposed chainring your/someone elses calfs are not goign to be too appreciative!
As for stripping threads, go freewheel ;)What days are you guys playing in Brighton at the moment? Im gonna be down for a few days after the Cambridge tournament and I am deciding whether to bring my Surly or my polo bike?

Thursdays at 6pm ish
Yeah, the dual gearing for polo will have to go. Although I have fallen off about 15 times yesterday and never touched it.
Freewheel? Bahh, no thanks, would solve the stripping but you need brakes for that. -

and we all know brakes are for pussies/un-anodized rims
Ah man could't attend again, way too much to do at school, sorry.
