I missed you guys at the weekend, wasn't the same without Brighton there. I already really miss Brigton polo and am hatching a plan to convince you all to move to Bristol.
It was a great tourney, really tough middle table games and generally a really high standard of play.
Also, Team Warin took 9th and I got MVP!

Hello Brighton people. I'd like to extend the invitation to players a train ride away from LDN. I am running a beginners / improvers tournament on Sept 15th at the Westway court in London.
General rule is that anyone is welcome if they havent been playing more than a year. I cant police that but hope you'd obey the spirit of it...So yeah if there are any newcomers in Brighton who are interested in playing, info about it is here:
http://www.lfgss.com/thread90081.htmlSam has played on this court so he knows what it is like. Nice big smooth court. Probably the best in London IMHO.
Any questions or queries just let me know.

Nice one Kevin, might drop by, lots of new players too atm who I'm sure would like some friendly tourney experience.
Moving on, I'm down pp, the court is dry & sun is out. No one here yet but will stick about till half six should anyone fancy a knOck about..

Alex, find the Brighton bike polo group on F.B & join it. Most polo talk goes through that now, also cranks has a spare polo bike if you need to borrow one (speak to Julian)......hope you've had a good summer anyhow?

Hi polo people.
I need somewhere to stay in Brighton on Wednesday night. I'll be arriving by train at about 10:30pm and heading out to East Preston on Thursday morning. I'll be up for some last-minute polo practice before my 3:30pm train to London for the Open party.
I won't have a usable bike on Wednesday so somewhere central would be ideal. On Thursday anyone who's free and has a car can save me a bus journey and come and bike-geek-out in a shed.
Pints and favours etc.

Hey Brighton, Just handed to thank you guys for making Niki and I feel so welcome and having a good hit around yesterday. I haven't had a day so nice in a while. Big ups to Chris for extending us the invite and showing us around the town.

Hi Guys,
Sorry to clog up the Polo thread with intro's - but i wasnt sure where else to post as other Brighton threads havnt seen action for few months...
Im new in Brighton, only lived here a couple of weeks. Been riding fixed for a few years but never really ventured into Polo or Racing as there were only 4 fixed riders in my home town...
Anyway just a quick hello, i dont really know anyone in Brighton other than my housemates who don't ride. Would be really nice to meet some other riders and maybe try my hand at some polo!
I'm out on my bike most nights after work and have seen a few fixies locked up around town but no one riding yet! As i said, only lived here a couple of weeks and dont really know my way around - i usually end up at the seafront. But hey, maybe you guys can show me the good spots to ride! If you spot me out on my bike, give me a shout, i'm pretty lanky and ride a dark green fixie with drops and odd wheels...

Hi Sam, polo is alive & well in Brighton. regular as clockwork wednesday evenings from 18:00 & sundays from 13:00 at preston park basketball courts, as we've had quite an influx of new people start over the last few months we are now trying to bring extra mallets & bikes with us so new people can try it out. Also most of us still own fixed or road bikes so even if polo isn't your thing, its a good place to start meeting people etc. Anyway there should be a bunch of us playing tonight so if you're in the area feel free to come and say hi. There should be a link to a map on the 1st page of this thread if you're not sure where it is.
Hope that helps... -
