Since giving up lfgss I have simply taken to trolling in www.canalworld.net ......
It's more fun because they're all Thatcherite twats but it still doesn't get my dissertation finished.
Wednesday looks like it could rain alot. I will still be there, I haven't hit a ball with a stick whilst riding on a bike for WAAAAAAY too long.
Also, if anyone fancies being in the opening ceremony for the olympics (paid) let me know, it would mean attending a mandatory rehearsal on the weekend of the Brighton tourney though.

Idealstandard could you PM me details please?

I will be at Falmer from around 3. the weather is meant to clear up and I'm going to knock about regardless. What are people thinking?
Giles - I will do so shortly, but it might not be a go-er individually, it was meant to be organised through me for Brighton Bike Polo as a 'club'.

If you were planning treat yourself this weekend, I've got a £10 voucher for Chain Reaction Cycles that has to be used this weekend. You'd need to spend £75 to use it, which I'm not going to be doing as I'm away tomorrow for a couple of days.
If you can genuinely make use of it, let me know and I'll forward it on.
Hopefully I'll be back in time for some PP action on Sunday.

Anyone interested in demoing bike polo at a horse polo club? I've had this through the Oxford bikepolo.org.uk website, and thought you're the closest:
Wondering if anyone would interested in setting up a bike polo demo or match or have-a-go, at either of both of the following big events, both held at Cowdray Park Polo Club in Sussex:
St. Regis International Polo (USA v. England), Saturday 19 May
Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup Final, Sunday 15 JulyPM me and I'll give you the organiser's details (and give me an email address too if you don't mind, then next time there's a request I can just forward it).

Are they expecting a demo of Hardcourt or Grass polo? None of us (to my knowledge) have played grass polo before.
I am free for July 15th, would like to see some horsey polo :) although I hear its not too good for the horses :-

No idea what they want, that's the entire email (minus contact details).

Lets see what the others think but I would definitely like to see the gold cup final. I assume this means we'd get in free and all the VCP we can drink? :)

I've PMed you the whole email. I'm sure you could negotiate free food/drink :)

Hi guys
I'm going back to Bristol at last minute. It's my dad's first weekend home from hospital and I don't want to miss it.
I was hoping to see you all on Sunday and chat more about tournament stuff but will do it here instead.
Chris - any news on the quote for the perspex barriers
Did anyone get the exact measurement on the court?
I think we should send out the sponsorship email, see it any money gets offered before next weekend and try to make the final decision with all information in our hands at a meeting after polo next Sunday. How does that sound?
Also sorry for including you all in the formal group email. 12 teams have paid so far.

Polo from 2pm at Preston park today ! The weather looks like it will hold for a couple of hours at least !
-
• #3148
I´ll be there in about 30 mins. According to windguru the rain will slow down until the end of the day, it will be windy though..

Sheet. Just committed myself to a roast! Will try to swing by later, cant promise i wont puke gravy puddles on the court though..,

I have basically failed in all the responsibilities I was given tournament-wise. I didn't measure the court, Tim made the sponsorship email and I haven't emailed it to anyone. Sorry guys. I'm just not as trustworthy as I make out.
Cheers, trig.x
