Have we measured the uni courts yet? I'd be interested to see how big they actually are. From memory PP courts from fence to fence are about 29/30 metres long. Can't remember the width.

Hey guys, two quick things.
I won't be at polo for at least a week and am spread quite thin atm between Bristol and Brighton. We need to keep the tempo up for the tournament organisation because slipping behind now could scupper things.
We need to start thinking about subdividing the courts, this means measuring and working out quantities of wood. Also liaising with Manchester to see if we can do something clever about handing the wood onto them when we're done or asking the Brighton timber project if they can take it otherwise.
The logistics are tricky because we have no storage, either we need to hire a large van which the wood can sit in before and after or find a space somewhere.
We also need to think about setup time. We currently have a booking from 8.30am on the Saturday and any more time will cost us, could we work out a way which means we assemble all the components beside the courts on the Friday and try to get the courts up between 8.30-10.30 for an 11am start?
I propose the creation of a 'court logistics' subgroup, probably consisting of me, street juice and anyone else who's interested.
Also if anyone fancies meeting me at the Foundry tomorrow around 8.30pm tomorrow to celebrate my birthday, that would be nice.

My friends told me about a weekend away in March.
I mentioned the bench minor.
They frowned. A lot.
I think I might have to let friendship win out over polo.....

Has anyone submitted out lineup for the bench minor? Deadline is today.
If so can you take me off it please.

Thanks Tim!
So, i wont be at polo tomorrow as we're heading off to Birmingham at 12! We're flying out to Melbourne in two weeks now. This also means i may not see many of you again if you're not going to be at the Bristol NS tournament... so take care and all the best. Many of you have my contact details so stay in touch! Thanks for all the good times!

Hello, its Matt from the past few weeks.
Did people play today? I assumed it was cancelled because of the rain. Was really looking forward to playing. -
• #3044
Hey Matt
Rule of thumb is if it's raining then there's no polo. If it's sunny then there's polo for as long as you can take before falling down exhausted and drunk.

can someone lend me a mallet for tonight? haven't got round to getting one made up.

Weather is set to get worse. Shall we post a decision of 'on or off' round 4pm?
-
• #3047
I can bring you a spare Josh if you need but its not with me so would be best if some else can..
Decision at four sounds right, fingers crossed. How puddle resistant are the courts? There has been quite a bit of sky>ground water happening the last two days.. :s -

5.30 shabitat then??
-
• #3049
Sorry Josh, i'm not going to have chance to go home and pick up the spare. Can someone else bring one??
