  • I've got a mate who said he'd be up for giving it a try too. Are we gonna have enough mallets?

  • i have about 4 survive from last year. toby, nick and katie have a few i think.

Otherwise.. how about a mallet making session?
maybe a bulk order of poles, find some pipe somewhere?

i will admit, im out of date when it comes to mallet construction now. things have changed a bit since i last made some.

  • matt i think we should have it at your open toolbox thing? get a few beers in and plough out about 10 mallets. right.dates? i say we should start off again as we started last time.wednesday and sunday.i won't be able to make the sunday because of work but it'll be good to get back on it.we need a floodlit court as well.maybe we go back down to the drug den of a carpark that we played in last time and clean it up and make up some boards or something? or if someone has any knowledge of another floodlit court.mention it and we can generally go and sort stuff out.we need to sort this out.

  • Isn't the football court on the hill up to the Setting Sun from the Level floodlit sometimes? Maybe a bit small, I wouldn't know.

  • its no smaller than the basketball courts we play on in preston park.i'll have a look

  • we need a floodlit court as well.maybe we go back down to the drug den of a carpark that we played in last time and clean it up and make up some boards or something? .

Floodlights yes, but boards arn't a neccesity, we're playing ina multi-story at the mo, and whilst the sides arn't ideal, itd take so much time to faff around with putting up and taking down boards everytime you wanted to play, too much polo time wasted!

  • right there a few carparks i can think of.sainsburies off lewes road is a good one.crack den car parks a bit small.sainsburies by the station? the station car parks always full isn't it?theres a car park in the marinA? is it floodlit at the top of that as that would make a really nice one? where else? thursday evening? everyone!?

  • Are we still on for today? 4.30?

  • There were two lonely newbies cycling in the cold.....

  • Brighton polo is officially lame. I think we might need to wait till it warms up a bit.

  • fucksake.right next wednesday.i'll ask toby if he's game.if not i'll go and cycle round the crackden on my own with a few mallets and a ball unless someone picks up a better spot.i'll be there from 5:30.if people are coming put your name down as if no-ones coming there will be no point for me to go.make a decision.stick to it please. x

  • Man, I suck balls.
Sorry, delayed flights from berlin and shaky comedown meant I was a no show.
    I suck.
    Next wednesday?
    I WILL be there, promise.
There's an appointment in my phone and everything.

  • I'd like to have a go on wednesday

  • maybe a bulk order of poles, find some pipe somewhere?

i will admit, im out of date when it comes to mallet construction now. things have changed a bit since i last made some.
    Ahhh memories.

  • not yet.we'll try and get one sorted soon

  • I'm going to be there from five today. Okay?
    Be there, pls.

  • Where were we supposed to meet? I went to preston park at 5:30 and went home

  • Have you guys got a weekend session going yet? I'd be happy to show up for a couple of hours one Saturday daytime.

I'd love that, Saturdays especialy, either 10am or 3pm would be super duper ultra cool for me.

  • people are being shit.unless we can get a few people actually saying on here that they'll be actually up for playing it won't happen.

  • I've already tried once! Can we definitely get on it for next wednesday? If I had a mallet or two I could show up with mates without the risk. Even 2 people can practise if they have the kit.

  • I'd be up for it with a bit more notice and time+location!
Also depends if I'm working in which case, I wouldn't be available before 6:30. Like a lot of people I think.

  • Whatever works. Is Wednesday workable or should we try something else?
