  • Dice don't need no list fool!

    Liam's in too...

  • Josh - that's my current favourite meme. Strong.

  • I'll try and make it for a couple of hours but I haz exam on Monday.

  • those forks ebay # 260937593874 may be of use

  • I'll be down - got an afternoon off at last. Looking forward to seeing the new bikes chaps! Saw Tim's in the main thread, looks dope :)

Speaking of which, i'm getting paid finally and am keen to fix up a decent polo ride for myself asap & could do with some advice - my bike-tech is not as advanced as it really ought to be by now...
Sooo, I may be picking up a small chrome (yum) charge plug next week which with the right forks could be pretty rad. However, reading up on things I've become unnerved about this 700c vs 26s debate. My preference has always been 700c but wondering if by the summer i'll be regretting it....

Also, any thoughts on going for a 700c trick-type frame - Its only marginly more than i'd spend on this 2nd hand charge and the geometry would suit polo for sure..

Anyway, i don't have internet at home so i expect printed, clearly headed answers from you all tomorrow.x

  • Ask Rich, he uses a plug for polo. A lot of people went for 26 then went back to 700. More goal coverage and faster etc. On One are selling the pompino for real cheap now, i would say go for that if your intention was to use it for polo. Anyway, speak to you tomorrow.

  • Today was fun. For the first time in ages I felt like I made some improvement too. Anyway, super hyped about new bike vibes, great advice from everyone today, after riding Chris's think i'm about sold on the Pompino. Should hopefully be able to get an order in this week - woot. I did just see this however which is a pretty nifty price but would be back to 26" wheels:

Any ideas about that would be welcome, i think really my feeling is for the pomp but i just want to make sure i get this shiz right...
Be warned btw, this is probably the beginning of a long series of tedious tech interrogation/thread sabotage from me, but i will try not to bore you to death.

  • Hey all, big technical probs today so couldnt get down :(

Whiskas - Go for a pomp over a plug, geo of plug isnt ideal. I still use mine because I have nothing else, I think I will go down the Marino route, same as Danny.

26 v 700 is personal pref really, just ride a couple of bikes and see which one you like the most

  • they do a small rich.

  • Sorry Ive not be around for a while, chaos etc!! Im in Paris at the moment and my bloody phone doesnt work (sorry Dice). Back on the 28th and im gonna be back on it like no-ones business! Take care all and see you, and you`re new steeds soon :)

  • Slightly odd request. I need to borrow a single SPD cleat for a few weeks. I even have the bolts, just need the actual cleat!

I anyone could help I will be very happy.

  • Might be able to help you out, Timothy. I'll have a look tomorrow.

  • Andy, I'd buy the mountain frame but that's just me, I never liked 700c for polo anyways. If money's tight then you can get basic Shimano equipment no matter what frame you buy. I can lend a hand when it comes to ordering if you need it, Liam's a good person to ask too.

Julian, no worries bro. Missed your mug round the court tho, get well soon :P

  • just saying...
as most of you know, i'm getting married next wednesday. so effectively this weekend is my "stag" weekend.

  • Shotgun wedding FTW!

  • I never new! Congrats Danny.

Is yours a M? Do you have his contact details and stuff? I'd like to have a quick go on yours to see what its like

  • Danny's is a Large and would be too big for you to even try I think. I think you'll probably want one as soon as you see it though...
