  • SPeru I can't make it - I've been taken hostage x

  • Anyone for a spot of Bank Holiday polo in the sun? Might be worth trying to start a bit earlier so we stand a better chance of getting a court. 12ish? Or is this a ridiculous idea?

  • I have no bike but am free from 12-3ish

  • No bike? What have you done to it? I'm going to try to get to PP for 12ish. Hopefully I won't be hanging around on my own for too long...?

  • I just registered for Bristol, who else has? Are we getting the train or a van in the end?

  • I'm registered!!! Thinking about entering the darkside....just made a dual pull and have attached a freewheel...spd's at the ready for a lot of comedy falling moments tommorow! Shit, will it suck?!?

  • R.I.P. fixed polo! Registered for Bristol last week. Train fare when I looked at the weekend was £46. Possibly maybe thinking about driving down. I've got a 2 bike rack and a box trailer with a lid/bike bars so could carry a few bikes and up to 6 people (including me). Leaving mid afternoon Friday, back on Sunday when we've had enough/sobered up.

I provide the vehicle and do all the driving. You pay for the petrol between you. Can't remember how much it cost me the last time I drove to Bristol, but it should be cheaper then 5x£46. Deal anyone?*

*Like I said, I'm only thinking about this at the moment.

  • ^In addition to above I am driving but wont be able to offer lifts, soz, small car and all that. Please dont rely on me for a lift down or back

  • Well, i don't want to be getting no train. So if it's cool with you Chris i'll reserve a space for me and a bike. Are you taking a tent too?
Rich, you're driving, but not taking your team?

    Julian, i knew you'd break.

  • Rich, you registered Killa B's? What's this about solo registration? What do i need to do/pay?

  • There are advance train fares right now for under £30 return.

With a YP railcard a return via Salisbury is £30 on the day.

  • Urgh, fragmentation. If people are driving then I would like to come along, it'll be much funnier. I'll understand if there's no space etc.

It's individual reg for this tournament Danny, look at the beginning of the official thread for a link to a form.

I'll be down to PP tonight for about 5:30-6ish!

  • I'll be there around 5.30.

    Can't wait.

  • Aiming to get away by 4. Should be there by 5ish. Planning to pop into Moulscoombe leisure centre on my way if i have time. Also emailed the roller derby girls this morning.

  • in brighton.will come down at 5

  • I will be there normal time.

Danny - I registered the team but each player needs to fill out a form. Also it will be aimee and me driving down so its not just me and an empty car :) I'll be taking a bike for her too for romantic trips down the gorge plus all the gear so no room for extras. Sorry dude! Also we are going with Yellow for team colour right?

  • I'm not one for bigging myself up but this is for Cranks, and seeing as no other c**t would do it, here we go! 3 hours of fear I might add!!

And yes, sarcastic comments are expected, but check out the faire if you can bromosexuals :)

  • Oh shit, forgot to add....single speed and dual brake are now up and running...I feel dirty!!

  • Just spoke with the bloke who runs the warehouse in Shoreham that the Brighton Rockers have just shacked up with. We had a terrible line, but I think he sounded pretty interested in sub letting to us as well as the roller derby girls. Might try and go and see him/the warehouse tomorrow after polo.

  • I'll come with you mate ( I just wanna see roller girls in hot pants ) !

  • Very excited about the possibility of an indoor winter court

  • Sounds awesome!
Chris, Woody, Rich - Do you guys have a spare mallet i can use today pleeease?

  • There's a bit of rain in the air. What's that all about? Danny, I've got a few mallet bits in the workshop. I'll try and cobble something together for you, but I'm not sure how long it will last. Woody mentioned a few spares that were a bit bent but were still useable...

  • Nice one Chris, thanks!
Fingers crossed for a dry day...

  • Woody is hoarding loads of mallets ! You should give him a ring mate !
