Imperial winter series is what you may want to search for, they may not be for a while though.

I've just started a CP thread about building a beginners racing bike, and thought it would be a good idea to link it up so the racing people on here can offer their experience.

Hi Guys
Kinda new to the forum and racing in general. I'm 18 and live in Croydon and I'd like to join a club/group sometime soon to meet some new people. I reckon I am a decent climber but then again I've never rode with fast people. Are there any clubs you guys would recommend?

Usually I'll be out around Biggin Hill and Box Hill and see a few of them there. I'm still stuck wearing Radioshack team kit that I got as a gift :(

Having never raced before I would quite like to give it a go or at least try something that might give me an idea of whether I should give it a go. I live in east london where would be the best place to start?

If you can, ride down to the Cyclopark in Dartford and have a go there. It's a semi-taxing crit circuit, but not as hard as the likes of Hog Hill. Enter a Cat 3/4 race and just try to keep with the bunch - your cornering should pick up in that session alone.
The centre there is fairly well kitted out with showers, lockers etc, and the tarmac nice and smooth.
And if you don't enjoy it, then at least you've had a decent ride there and back for training :)
