  • Glad I got to ride this tank before it's split up. :)

  • Fond memories of this bike :)

  • I thought the frame had a stress fracture at the headtube

    ; )

    Ha bloody ha lol.

  • i cant believe your selling that bling, what you gonna commute on the MTB?

  • So are you giving up on fixed gear freestyling?

  • I'll eat my shoe if he has.

This: http://www.flickr.com/photos/buro9/ for now, then in the meantime i'm gonna get the street machine finished, and i'm pretty certain i'm gonna go with a milwaukee bruiser SS with two brakes and foot retention as my beater/commuter/polo machine (with two different gear ratios), but i'm gonna build it up slowly and make it look pretty shitty/zero bling so I can lock it up places without stressing too much, plus I doubt I will spend as much on as I did with this bike, I went ridiculously overboard with this bike making everything as strong as I could, which is awesome, but I don't plan on subjecting my next 700c bike to the same kinda usage as this one had, its gonna be more just for transport, and the street bike will be there to take all the abuse instead.

So are you giving up on fixed gear freestyling?

Not entirely, for now I guess, I may well knock another fixed freestyle bike together in the future, but I want something thats easy to ride down the skatepark on a sunday as well as on the streets, the fixed is great for street riding and getting around and it is such a fun bike, I love it to pieces, but its time for a change.
When I saw Davids cruiser come up for sale, it was something i've always wanted since I was really little, such a nice bike so it was too good for me to pass up, therefore selling this is helping fund my other projects that I want to get finished/get going.

  • Ha, how did I KNOW you were going to snap up that BMX? :D

  • James are you getting my PM's?

  • Yeah I coulda sworn I pm'ed you back? let me check, one second.

  • You got a PM back dude, thought I sent it earlier but my PC crashed right after, thought it went through.

  • Got that cheers

  • Gonna be running 3 inch risers, the bars are lower but the riding position is totally differnt due to completely different geometry compared to a bmx frame, i'll also be using a really short stem, and I may be switching to 4 inch risers depending on how it feels with these ones, i've tried out a similar set up and it feels really good, in terms of the riding position.
For me its not so much how high the front end is, but where my upper body is in relation to the front end, I find even doing everything I can on a bmx to change the riding position to help my shoulder, it still aggrovates it because I am just too far hunched over the front regardless of what i've tried, whereas on my fixed, or on mtb's the riding position seems to be perfect as it puts me further towards the centre of the bike which works really well for me, and I can ride for as long as I want in comfort :)

  • Also the fork i'll be fitting, (although rigid), is not an insanely low axle to crown height like some of the street mtb forks out there, its only around 430mm so the front end stays relatively high.

  • ^ Oof! Fuckin love that.

  • Heh, very nice, thats pretty much exactly what i'd be riding if I could afford one of those frames.....saying that I did get an amazing deal on my nem pro frame, which is pretty swish ;)

  • Ansons own one is reallllly nice as well:

    Ghetto 24 inch porn:

  • wheels fitted to the polo rig - cheers for the easy transaction CJ

  • No worries dude, enjoy :)
Is your mate calling me at some point today still?

  • Wayno - did you get my message about your old polio wheels? I'm in need of a new front if you are interested in selling

  • the front is tucked away for ya Ed, gonna keep the rear as a spare

  • James - he sent me a PM saying he was lookingto buy the frame and forks - hopefully I'll see him tonight, if not he's back at work tomorrow so he'll be able to respond to his PM's

  • Nice one, cheers Wayne.
