  • Ginger and lime cheesecake (fridge set, not baked, just so you know) is go, but since I just got off a plane its going to be an early morning mission to Tesco to get the ingredients and the thing made in time :s

this is the bad boy that's first on my list

    nom nom nom…

  • i'm rooting for nhatt cos she's my buddy and neighbour and I know that girl can bake - but that lime and ginger business sounds good to me too BDW... give that a bit of time to set though by the sounds of it konijn..

to be honest a whole lot of those pictures are making my mouth water..hope to see you later in the afternoon, best of luck with the final stages y'all

  • My stuff all looks a bit worthy at the moment, but it won't once I've smothered it in about a gallon of cream cheese icing! (NB. the ratatouille was last night's dinner, and won't be coming with me.)

  • Make that 4 entries. Just pulled the Oatmeal Stout cookies out of the oven.

  • oh no?

    edit: Ha Ed!

IF the mini tesco round the corner from work has all the ingredients for one of these bad boys, i will give it a shot, and if it won't work my colleagues can eat it.

    I'm a good co-worker like that.

  • Got loads of cookies and they are easy to sort, just bung them in tupperware and put them in the bag and ride over.

Not sure what to do with the Guinness cake that PicKle has made, don't want to mess the icing up.

    Suggestions on a postcard please.

  • Do you have a rack or a trailer?

I'm going to bring my cake and icing separately, and sort them out once I get there.

  • Do you have a rack or a trailer?

    Sadly I have neither.

I'm going to bring my cake and icing separately, and sort them out once I get there.

That would have been the sensible option. D'oh.

  • Arghh one of the medal biscuits is now in two halves, not only are they unimpressive and slightly bland now they are broken too. I apologies to the winners in advance, I hope basking in the glory of knowing you are the greatest baker in the land is enough of a prize to satisfy you.

  • Pickle, where are the swear words on your cake???

    1. Get the bus hahaha
    2. Ask me nicely I have a bike with a rack that I hate riding. Its a specialized sirrus.
    3. Eat the cake before leaving the house.
  • @ Balki

I'm sure that could be fixed with some chocolate buttons.

    @ Timmy

Think I'm going to ride the cookies over, lock up the wheels and go on a bus mission.

Going to be the safest option for the cake methinks.

I am still puzzling over this problem. (It's a slow day at work.) But surely you're not the only person with transport issues? I reckon that next time (there will be a next time, won't there? unless we all end up dying of cake on the lungs or something...) we should have some sort of 'cake bus' - like a cargo bike with shelves installed - with which some willing volunteer can collect everyone's cakes during the day, and deliver them to the C&H in time for kick-off.

  • Cake bus. mmm...

  • fuckencakefuckyeah!

  • inevitably, I'm out.
have fun all, i'll be dreaming of your cakey goodness as i sit here working.

  • HTFU you cuntz. get baking or you fail.
baking doesn't get tougher than this
