Finally got hold of the new MXR reverb, it sounds GOOOD, especially thinking it's just a 3 knobs small pedal.
Managed to record a tiny sample, mixed with some dyna comp and evh phase 90 (sorry for the legs)

Thanks, buddy... If you see one I can send you some cash over and you can grab it for me... Then look after it til I get there, I'm sure that won't be a massive ballache for ya... 😋

Yeah big pain. If yr serious it might be worth asking Hackett to keep an eye out for you?
I've been trying to work up the courage to tell my missus that I want to buy myself a 1964 J-50 for my 40th which is at the end of next month. My case has not helped by the Brompton purchase.
This is the one... http://www.ebay.com/itm/1964-Gibson-J-50-Vintage-Dreadnought-Acoustic-Guitar-Soft-Shoulder-w-hc-J-45-/172306944978

I found a few on Gumtree/Facebook last night, all dot necks tho'... A local luthier acquaintance is gonna be in Japan in November and said he's happy to bring me one back, which is nice...
You're in a sticky spot, that's a lot of big purchases... 😂

I haven't even broached the big birthday guitar yet. Well, I hav, just not not the price (although I think £2k for a 1964 Gibson is a fucking bargain!). I hav eto be careful though as she agreed in advance to a new Macbook, I made the case for the Brompton so the guitar might have to wait till later in the year I think.
I would be willing to get rid of the Guild in order to make room. Problem I have with that is that I f*ucked the finish and it won't sell well as is. Looking at refinishing it myself maybe?

Sell everything!?! I sold a pair of sneakers today that covers half the cost of the Jag, I could probably sell a few more pairs and a couple of hoodies and make enough cash to buy an old one! That money's supposed to go in with the house deposit tho'...

Only looking for Olympic white?

• #4288
Arctic White would be OK too... 😋

Just been speaking to a dealer on FB who sold EXACTLY the guitar I'm after only three months ago... And for only AU$850!?!

Found a dot neck in Brisbane for $1100, so I've got a back up if a CBS B&B reissue doesn't turn up...

Finally, a decent fuzz demo... Nice playing, relevant to the pedal...
Here's the Jag I'm gonna go see in the next couple of days... '93 MIJ '62 reissue with gold hardware... I normally hate gold bits but this is really of growing on me...
BTW Fuzz rules everything...

Hmmmm. Not sure about the gold either.

jags - what do they do that strats can't? they look heavy as fuck.
-
• #4295
Different scale length to a Strat I think. I like that Jag (though I can't see the gold that well), it's a good colour for them. Crying out for more muted pickup covers though.

Me neither... Still... Was gonna go for a look tomorrow but been asked to do a double shift, I'll go on Thursday instead... Gonna play Tym's transition '66 'bound and dot' beforehand for comparison...

Hey - thanks, I might try the Coke tonight. I was finishing one of mine off last night and was thinking exactly the same about the covers:

They're bitier. Top end cuts through a mix. And that tremolo sounds different to a Strat, imo a lot lusher and nicer. And it's got that weird back bridge you can make funny noises on

i fuckin' love that bass. needs an xbone sticky doe
