Have you thought of the Mesa Boogie V twin pedal?
It has 3 channels Clean, Blues (crunchy) and Lead. You can set them either as Clean-Lead or Blues-Lead with the footswitch. Has full EQ, Gain, Master, Presence -

I'm a bit of a Luddite when it comes to guitar stuff, ideally I'd plug straight into my amp and just use the volume knob to control my sound with no effects whatsoever...
Hang on, that's a brilliant idea! 😋

And I really don't like pedal distortion when it's trying to replicate natural amp distortion, fuzzboxes are OK... I don't understand folks that'll have a clean sound then do everything else with effects... Nope... Heat those valves up and hold on tight, still one of the most exhilarating feelings ever... ☺

Christ Metallica suck.
*youtubing guitar stuff leads you astray
but I mean really. they all suck individually. as people. as songwriters, lyricists, players and musicians. lars is literally one of the worst drummers i've ever heard.
togther they are almost infinitely more sucky than the sum of their sucky parts.
they are a horrible horrible horrible band
they suck
i hate metallica

Ooh, how close to the original circuit is that Vox Tonebender clone? Tempted by the DOD as well...
-
• #3787
Interested in the compressors - PM sent.
-
• #3788
I'm kinda interested in ALL OF THEM to be honest.
I have one Tonebender clone already though...
-
• #3789
I'm in the market for a simple overdrive pedal. If that DOD is at a reasonable price I'd be interested.

Everyone, step away from the Tonebender! 👈😐👉

PS The repaired Solton head sounds amazing, the sound is so rich and full that it's almost too bassy... Haven't plugged my old Junior into it yet, next time... It will fucking roar with that going through it...

PM'd bleak, apone and ffm…
@TS… Tone Bender is mad authentic to a '67 Vox two-tranny circuit but it has a cool three-way tone switch to change the input cap for a touch more bass if wanted, and a bias knob on the side for even more usefulness. Jimmy is a freaking fanatic. His builds are nuts. Behold the pron.

The troll in me is finding this idea irresistible...
Very promising but yes, could maybe do better than the M2JR guard IMO...
