I picked up one of those cheap 2015 Gibson's from Amazon, a LP special double cut (I had an epiphone one as my first guitar) and it plays lovely. The headstock looks a bit rubbish, but you can't see it if you're playing it! It's my first real American guitar and I am already smitten. Good for 450beans I reckon. The prices on Amazon went up as soon as I bought it.

Was looking at the vibramate, save having to drill holes.

Day three since new amp arrived. Took it out of box and placed on floor near guitars. At some point next week I may find the time to plug a guitar into it. Or not.

Saw these guys play over the weekend

I thought the amps were built by Matamp, turns out green/electric amps is a US based company. Impressive looking and sounding amplification in any case.

I was looking at Longhorn reissues on eBay completed items and and saw somebody had hit BIN on one for £185 just a few weeks ago. Fair enough. Then looked closer. It was a FREAKING REAL 60s one.

Needed several cups of hot sweet tea after that.

Just bought Wilco tix for Brixton next Nov then stumbled across this great gig footage from 1996. Jay was such a tasty player. The sound's great too. The bass is amazing great with my big cans on.
