I got it from Gumtree actually. It's missing a dial, scuffed and the grille cloth is dirty. Looks like it belonged to GG Allin. But it was cheap.

Ordered a set of Spectrums. Just one though. £24!
Also ordered the Polytune clip which looks arther cool and a G7th "Newport" capo as I'm fed up with losing schubbs and trigger capos putting my guitar out of tune.
Will report back.

Are there decent Twin Reverb clones that cost lots less and actually sound alike? I've seen lookalikes from the far east but far too few valves and too many transistors. My Vox does a great job of emulating one, and it does at least have valves, but the real thing might be nice.

If it's affordabe twinage you're after I'd consider a SF Pro Reverb. Almost all of the weight, inconvenience and ear splitting volume of a Twin (same basic circuit and layout) but with slightly smaller tranny and only two 6L6s (rated at 40w). They don't have the cachet of a twin and can be had for good money if you know where to look. Think I paid £330 for a mid '70s one a few years back. You will never need to turn it above 6. Guaranteed.

You may wanna check eBay for the spectrums if you want more in future £14-16
I've still got an original "the intellitouch tuner" which was one of the first of the clip ons IIRC? Was a big deal for us acoustic players at the time. Just put new batteries in. Works fine but the LCD screen sometimes has bits missing -

Pro Reverbs seem to be twice the price of Twins, unless you can hook me up with a bargain somewhere?

Huh? 70s silverfaces? Maybe people have cottoned on. Also, I just realised i paid £550 for mine from Andy Hackett. Not £350. Sold it for a similar amount about 5 years ago.
Fuckinell. There's only one I can find for sale in the UK and it's (rather optimistically I think) up for a grand. That's mental. Who knew?

Behold the C*ntcaster on it's birthday. Needs a big set up (frets and nut) and maybe a bit more neck shimmage. Buzzes like a dick. Leaves chips of red paint all around the place.
Thank fuck there's a bit of wood behind the bridge piece stopping it from moving. This thing cost me a fortune altogether despite the only new parts being neck and tuners. Kinda wished I'd just bought another 2015 Jibson and sold the robot tuners to make back a bit of the dosh but I fancied that authenic strat hum and the ability to practice my lutherie instead of doing something useful.

Mate, you won't regret it. I have a 1970 SF Champ and love it madly. Where did you buy the Champ if you don't mind me asking?
