Sicky sick. Will see if I can rouse the crew.
Try opening a new project - as far as I know there shoudn't be any limits on it. Might just be that you need to re-run your plugin validator or something.

Really cheap Les Paul copy, neck pickup only. It's mostly the pedal making that horrible racket, I'm sure I could plug in a tele and it'd sound filthy.

Don't imagine anyone is flogging a bass guitar are they? Cheap and crappy is fine, just need something to lay down some demos with.

I can lend you one for a week or so if you want? I helped Don Cornelius pick out a squier Jazz a few years back. He never used it so I bought it back off him for recording at home. Has flat-wounds on (and a scourer sponge jammed under the strings for extra deadness).

^ is that 3/4? Looks aces... I had a white 3/4 Fender Japan jobbie when I was playing in Chris WIlson's band... Great bass...

Anyone know the best spot for affordable repro 1-ply telecaster pickguards? I've got hankering for a cosmetic upgrade on my trusty tele. Black on (now nicely faded) white.
tdpri says warmouth. shipping's a bastard. think i've just remembered why i didn't do this 12 years ago.

no 1-ply in the uk that i can find. nearest thing i've found. http://www.allparts.uk.com/online-shop/guitar-bass-parts/pickguards-scratchplates/pickguards-tele-style/pickguard-for-tele-8-screw-holes-2-p-2544.html

I've got 2 squier Jazz basses. One fretless which has been upgraded with Fender electronics, and the other a bog standard fretted. They are both great to play and sound ace. When buying the first one it was just streets ahead of everything else in its price range. Most other £200 basses were just unplayable.

Found one.

They were out of stock (assume they'll order it in from the states) but I ordered anyway. The single ply comes without the pickup holes drilled. Why? Anyway, £19 inc p&p. I may be asking to borrow a dremmel in about 8 weeks if and when it turns up. Wahey!

Cheers Dooks - turns out a pal was getting rid of one so I've ended up with a Washburn. So much fun to play, love the woody deadness of a bass.
Now I've got serious GAS for a sparkly Gretsch. Must resist.

I bought one of these on Saturday - had a play in the shop and could not believe the tone for £228!! and it loves a bit of drive from a decent pedal

Oh my. Just got a £500 royalty payment for this thing I did for a Marco Pierre White show last year. It's like the gods want me to buy a new guitar. Or Mic. Guitar or Microphone, guitar or microphone, guitar or microphone....

Yowsah. Gigging in Kings Cross again this week. Pared down and without our sweet voiced girl. All parping beardy men and ale then.
I may have bought a new acoustic guitar at the weekend and will be test driving it on Weds.
