Yes, technically. It has the centre block.
No f holes and varitone make it pretty unique in the range though. -

Same, for some reason in my head the Lucille is the iconic 335. I remember as a teenager lusting after the Epiphone verion in my local guitar shop’s window as it was the one I could just about dream of maybe afford after a little summer job.

Wow! I’ve never seen that before.

They didn’t make many. They did one run when Soundgarden got back together and toured/made a new record (he had been using the black and green ones as custom models for a while) and I think they did another short “tribute” commemorative run after his passing.

Oh I haven't seen that one before but I've always quite liked the olive one!
-
• #10232
Yeah that one is really recognisable, they’re the same apart from Bigsby vs stoptail.

I have couple of laps and a pedal steel, though I have let my playing tragically lapse. I had dreams of conquering the world via the medium of cool-shirted americana. Wonderful instruments, strange learning curve....
No way is that BJ Cole on Chill Out, if you mean the move at approx 9.1o... it's a really basic noob lick, and pitchy too. (But effective.)

It's Graham Smith I believe

Must stop idly browsing Reverb... this looks really nice with the black binding.

@EB Maybe Graham Lee, ex-Triffids? Probs a one-take for the whole LP, I shouldn't slag it off... steel is hard, you should hear some of the horrible things I did...

Has anyone on here mentioned the Milk Carton Kids
yet. I saw them a while back in London and the are simply great. -
• #10238
Nothing wrong with that, boss... 🖤

Graham Lee,
Thats him!

I fucking love that guitar, however, it may just be me but is the bigsby in that photo installed on the piss? the tail piece seems to be off the centreline and the E string seems to be binding on the side of the bridge, then there is a Huuuuuge gap between the e and the other side.
I have 0 experience with bigsby so this could be normal.

is the bigsby in that photo installed on the piss
Yes! I went around googling some others in case that was a Bigsby thing I hadn't noticed before, I don't know anything about them either... That's easily the worst I found!
-
• #10242
It seems to be fairly common, so much so that it now has me questioning if the reputation that bigsby trems enjoy for tuning stability may not be warranted.
Mind you I did come accross this abomination when searching for badly installed bigsby trem
From the Gibson Custom Shop apparently. It would appear that installing them on this piss isn't the worst thing you can do
-
• #10243
Yeah it's well wonky. Having just (badly) installed one myself I can symapathise.
And @rickster, dude, that is beautiful. You hide your light man. You should stop playing with people less talented than you. Wait... don't stop doing that. Fancy doing some music when we get out of plague times?
-
• #10244
Mine isn't wonky. I just failed to get it screwed down flush. Have left it that way for fear of twisting the trem or stripping the screws or holes. Will give it to a proper luthier as soon as I can get to that London. It works fine tho. Better than fine. It's wonderful. Only downside I can find is that I keep reaching for the Bigsby when playing my (non bigsby) tele.

I too have a small bonus coming. Tax rebate. I lost hours on Reverb looking at SGs this morning. Starting to get my head round the various models. Decided that what I want is a "classic" like this:
Would have to be in the UK tho. I can't imagine buying a guitar without playing it first.
-
• #10246
Crikey, I mis read and didn't realise that was you. As other have said there is nothing whatsoever wrong with that.
-
• #10247
You should stop playing with people less talented than you.
As if Rick really has a choice, short of going solo. :)

Aw shucks you guyz etc. The shine sort of wore off pedal steel for me when I realised it meant owning a car, and I don't want to do that anymore. My thoughts do sometimes turn to a nice portable Duesenberg lap steel with multibender, but I shouldn't be buying stuff without selling something right now...
I really like what this guy below, Luke, does on his... really nice style.

If you wanted to see that much of a 10% bonus you’d need to have a base salary of £70k 💵

That Facebook Marketplace Marshall Class 5 I failed to link to the other day is down to 180 quid. Be rude not to wouldn’t it?
That and the matte black Chris Cornell one with Lollar filtertrons.
