  • ^ can verify this. I saw the whole thing go down.

  • Having spent a lot of time propping up the Cycle PS bar around 6 pm I can confirm that they do go the extra mile for their customers, passing or pre-booked. And they have beer

  • http://www.tartybikes.com have always been pretty good, quick delivery and good stock of odd bits (it's a trials bike shop). My quite expensive freewheel recently exploded a few days out of warranty. Sent it off Friday afternoon and got a brand new one through today, awesome guys.

  • Push cycles in Newington Green are actually awesome. Really nice guys in there and always sort my bikes out for more than fair prices. Over tightened my headset and fucked the star nut. Took it to them hanging my head in shame and they fixed it really quickly.. Only charged me for the part. Two thumbs up!

  • Evans Mortimer Street....

    Nuff respect.

Although I did have to point out fork was installed backwards to start with it all went swimmingly thereafter!

  • REALLY? Always got horrible service (except sweet sweet @Tenners ) one of my colleague had to walk out and go to another shop to buy a bike due to them just ignoring him.

    Maybe you have social skills.

  • Yeah, it was close to "closing time" so the mood was electric...

  • Rapid Eye in shoreditch!

I think I may have mentioned them before, but they have just delivered again. Super fast and friendly and very well priced to boot!

  • Morvelo.

I had a problem with my order and then when I'd sorted it out, it wouldn't accept my discount code.

I messaged Morvelo for help and Lois replied, found the order and sent me through a Paypal request for the order and with the discount applied. I paid and two days later, my order arrived.

    Great service.

  • Excellent service today from my lbs.
    The Cycle Shop
    613 Green Ln, Ilford IG3 9RP
    Phone: 020 8597 0266

Yet again I've had trouble trying to replace the tyre on my fixie after changing the tube.
(I know, I know, I'm such an effing weakling, but even the lbs said it is a very tight and tough fit,and my brother had previously failed too). I took in the wheel and he did it for me, also gave me tips how to do it myself, even though it is a nightmare. The bonus was he didn't make me feel like an idiot, as other local bike shops have.

  • Exposure lights

Sent a light to them on Monday to be repaired. Had an email yesterday to say it had arrived, today another informing me of the cost and asking me to call with payment details.

Just had a confirmation email to say it's in the post back to me already.

Fantastic service from them as always.

  • Looking to get my geared bike serviced before I set off on cycle trip September 1st. Tried Condor but they have nothing next week so looking for somewhere central, east or north London.

Any recommendations where they wont fudge it up greatly appreciated

  • @Cazakstan Nice one, ta

  • Asked this on AQA but thought I'd ask here to make sure I don't miss anything:

What is a good, reliable shop in London, preferably central or east, that genuinely and seriously know their shit when it comes to Sturmey hub gears? Looking at getting mine serviced but every place I've done it before they get confused and charge me £100+ to just replace the whole thing.

  • Beeline Bicycles in Oxford.

I had a terminal failure of an eTap rear mech on Saturday, as I rode from London to Cheltenham. They went out of their way to help me get back on the road by doing a warranty return of said dead mech, replacing it with one from their one remaining group set. Amazing service and a lovely bunch of guys. Wish it was my LBS.

  • SBC in Hoxton

Built me a wheel (hub and rim supplied by me) for £60, all-in, including spokes. Turned it around same day too. Good service and nice guys, would use again. 10/10

  • Riding uphill and slightly out of the saddle and there's a loud "Crack!"

Took it to Freeman's, Mr Freeman went straight to a cluttered tool drawer, fished out a new stem, fitted it, £2. Freeman's in Norwich.

  • Just had excellent service from Paragon Machine Works. Ordered a couple of things in September, paid the duty with the Royal Mail, only to then enter into a Kafka-esque nightmare where the item was lost, then found, then lost again.

Emailed PMW to say I'd not received the item, they responded straight away offering me replacements or a refund.

  • Fizik

My Kurve Snake saddle broke again, this time just outside of the warranty period. I contacted them and they said send it back, so saddle was put in the post on Tuesday this week. To be honest given that it was outside of the warranty I had low hopes. I was not expecting to find a new saddle on my doorstep when I got home this evening!

  • Exposure Lights. My 8 yr old Diablo Mk II died on me following a brush with the floor.

Not only did they really quickly fix it :) they did it under lifetime warranty (I didn't realise there was one), replaced a button not covered by the warrety and also replaced the strap for a new one.

Top work saving me a considerable amount of money for a replacement.

  • Hunt Bike Wheels. After noticing that my rear rim had several tiny cracks near the spoke nipples I pinged them an email to ask if it was something other people had reported - also explaining that the wheels came to me on a second hand bike, had done several thousand winter miles and that I had no idea whether the problem was there before I got my hands on them or not...

Within minutes they'd offered to send a courier round to pick the wheel up. They then rebuilt the wheel with a new rim and couriered it straight back to me gratis.

Admittedly the rim shouldn't have failed like that in the first place - but I can't fault the customer service and will buy from them in future as a result...

  • Restrap
A piece broke off the magnetic clip on my saddlebag holster: I spoke to Nathan who put a replacement in the post, first class and gratis.

    SJS Cycles
Sent me the wrong seatpost clamp: Jamie has put the correct one in the post via 24 courier and said it's not worth returning the one I have.

Small things, but the impression made on me is bigly.

  • Rose bikes.

Unfailingly polite and efficient for an online retailer. They quite often stick a smiley emoji on their emails which is very sweet.

  • POC

The MIPS cradle/liner on my Octal helmet has split. As they don’t have any replacement liners they are going to send me the new Octal X Spin helmet FOC. Given my helmet is over two years old I am really impressed with their customer support.
