  • I'm using my mobile to access this site....... Desire ftw.

  • Decieded seeing as I have some time on my hands to start making more bags.
So to that end I have set up Levrier bags http://www.levrier.co.uk
I have literally just finished the first prototype of the medium/large bag (approx 30l).
My stiching isnt great yet as I need more practice and a better machine but its getting better :)

    :)

  • ha! good job jack :)

  • Dudes... I have a question.

The blinky loop on my bagaboo is rrrrrrubbish. The light does not point directly back when mounted on it.

What I want to do is attach some tags to the main flap so I can mount a fibreflare to it.

The bag has the cordura outer, and some kind of plastic inner. They appear to be glued as I cant separate the two materials.

My question is this.... If I stitch through both, outer through to inner, am I going to ruin the waterproofing or anything else?

    Any advice appreciated.

    Nice bags BTW. :)

  • Yes.

    Over and out.

  • Yes.
Try to go through the top layer only.

  • :(

    Bollocks.

    Zip ties it is then.

Cant separate the top and inner. I think they are glued.

  • Odd if they're glued?
Get some stick on hook and loop tape?

    I haz.

  • stick on hook and loop tape?

    whats this then?

    EDIT: Oh, velcro?

  • It's what I bought in error before I realised there were two types of velcro (brand name for hook and loop). This stuff sticks on as opposed to being sewn.

EDIT: Yep, I'm all about the correct terms now.

  • hmmm... maybe not what im after

    thanks anyway.

  • Contact adhesive?

  • Cement? Nail gun?

  • realistically you wont ruin the waterproofing, especially if it's on the flap. When the flap is shut water would have to seep through the stitch holes in the cordura, then through the holes in the liner, then through the front pocket without holes, then through cordura without holes and then through liner, again without holes.

Realistically you will be fine. IMO.

  • What if there is glue in between the cordura and liner on the flap though?
Wouldn't this get wet and then sticky / smelly / weird?
