I tried the little senheisers , hd25s i think (the top of the range ones), for djing. was seriously unimpressed. thin sound and they're flimsy as shit as well. bought technics rpdh1200s about 6-7 years ago and still use them on a regualr basis now. not the most incredibly perfect hifi sound, but have stood up that long with a fair bit of bar and club use.
It's not about "an impression", you pair of tits, it's about the** true** sound. You know, like for the people who want to know the true sound of sound.

ha. well said.I always found it frustrating when people would listen to songs / mixes on my Mackies (HR824 for THC*) and they'd either think "shit sound" or be devestated because they got a killer snare to eminate from their piss poor Behringer truth monitors.

What I'm saying is, there are same applications where I need to know exactly what I'm working with, because I'm being paid for the sound delivered, and "dijeing" ain't one of them.

well if you're talking for studio purpose, in my opinion there are better monitors than those little sennheisers.

I'm talking big Senheisers and same microphones. This is what we'd use on my line of work. Just to have consistent result. That's all. I don't say they're the best, but this is what we use about the town.

EEI - you ever used an M88 for vocals live?
-
• #9739
not true. HD25's are the best headphones I've ever owned - 100%win
CHEAP sennheisers suck - expensive ones are SO good
PX100 for the ipod, HD497 for the studio

Why do so many places spell bagel as beigel here? I have never seen that in the States and I visited Tel Aviv and Jerusalem this summer and they spelled them bagel there. I assume they know their bagels.
From wiki:
"On Brick Lane in East London, there are two long-established bagel shops in which the item is spelled beigel, with pronunciation to match."

I think people are missing the point of why the hd25 11 are good for DJing.
They are small = good fit's into bag
They are fucking loud and have a closed back = good for monitoring in a very loud environment.
They are actually quite sturdy and ALL bits are replaceable.anyway - back to memes
