Despite being the worst post ever, that made me snort my coffee out just now.

Genuinely thought that was Spinal Tap.

I sang this to the tune of In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida, works better that way

They look easier to cut than a d lock.
-
• #95162
Helpfully they've got "cut here" marks too
-
• #95163
Why bother cutting. Looks like you rip those fixings out of the ground pretty easily

I’d hope they used resin capsules in the holes before popping the bolts in. If so they ain’t going nowhere.
If those frames are solid metal then they could be surprisingly time consuming to cut.
Right by the door so in a high foot traffic area and only expected to be used when the store is open so only need to be medium security.I like them.

Do they bar spin?
-
• #95166
No. The bars would hit the tyre if you tried.

• #95167
Of course.

Truth is though that a cordless grinder with a slitting blade will free any bike from anything in seconds. Genuinely I almost never lock my bikes now.
If I go to the supermarket I have a pet security guard that lets me park inside the shop by the tills, go to the pub then I take the bike in with me.
Only exception is if I’m on the Bullitt, which is as far as I know the only one in Gloucester, in which case a fagettaboutit and a heavy loop cable (because cargo bike easy carry). Even then I only lock under security cameras in very public areas.
It is a sad state of affairs. Having to leave your bike locked up all day would terrify me, unless you have a super secure location.

That sort of looks like an Oliver Jeffers cartoon. Wish his kids books has this type of wisdom in them.
