Took last train to meet a girl. She fell asleep. I camped under a shrub.

Took a very long expensive Uber back home. Lost keys. Slept on a park bench till my wife got.home from night shift. She was none the happy.

A cab company we subbed work to (Freedom Cars,Old Compton Street)told us this story, they had a fare of 4 blokes in suits going north …..Islington, Archway etc. one of them was passed out from drink. They dropped the others off one by one each shoved a note in the unconscious guy’s pocket. Second last one gives the driver an address for the last (asleep)guy. At the address the driver wakes him up and says your home mate. The drunk says this isn’t Streatham, the cash shoved in his pocket turns out to be old receipt’s, he doesn’t know the other 3 guys.

I woke up once thinking I was in Leeds but had somehow ended up passed out at a house party in Bradford, confused a shopkeeper asking for directions home.

Walking home from dalston to crystal palace one night around 4am. Got very cold around 5 as I crossed London bridge, decided I had to get indoors somehow. Climbed a low wall into a car park of a large building, found a basement window round the back, broke the glass, unlocked it and climbed inside. Slept on some cardboard boxes for a few hours.

Let myself out of the door, walked back to the street and looked back, I'd broken into the London Crown Court. Got a mcmuffin on Walworth road and walked home.

When the night tube first came about I got on the central line to head to Liverpool Street from central somewhere. Ended up waking up in Leyton. Switched platform and got the train back the other way and woke up as the train pulled into White City. Fell asleep on the platform for a few minutes and a kind station attendant nudged me at some point to say a train was there. Got on it and had a very hard time to keep myself awake to make sure I didn’t end up skipping past Liverpool Street for a third time.

I did something very similar on the central line.
Work christmas party near Bank, so central line to Bond St for a change to Jubilee, easy enough. Nodded off and woke up at Marble Arch - "that was lucky!" I thought... then I woke up again at Loughton. Shit.
I waited in the cold, and got the same train back out and then woke up in White City. Shit.
Fortunately I could wait in the station this time, not quite so cold. I got the next train out, determined to stay awake the short journey to Bond St.... woke up at Newbury Park. Shit.
One more cold wait, no telephone this time because that went AWOL somewhere, and I got back on a train resolved to get off at Stratford so I could at least fall asleep on the right line. Fortunately managed that, finally, and got home at around 5am.

nightbus home to streatham hill, woke up a little further down streatham high road than i was hoping, and couldn't be bothered to walk back so just clambered on to the back of an articulated lorry heading towards brixton hung on to the shipping container for dear life and jumped off when it stopped at the lights outside streatham hill station.

I’ve woken up in Penge after falling asleep on the night bus for a good few hours. And Croydon. Still have nightmares.

Mate has mild narcolepsy, and there's a sharp turn just before his bus stop. He always sits in an aisle seat on the top deck as he knows he'll be thrown from his seat just before he needs to get off.

I played pong on the central line too! Kept missing Tottenham Court Road and had to resort to standing up to try and stay awake which meant I fell over at each tube stop.

I once woke up on a parked bus at about 4am. They clearly don't check the top deck at the end of a shift. I let myself out through the fire door and walked home. Simple times.

Is the sleepy when drunk thing a genetic thing? I’ve never once had that reaction to large quantities of alcohol and tend to just get more extroverted. Or maybe just not drinking enough.

Its never happened to me from just booze before.

Working late one night last year I drove a tube into Richmond. All I had to do was make sure it was empty before I took it to the depot, jumped into my car and went home.
There's one guy fast asleep, stinking of booze and trousers half off. Nothing is waking him up. Got the supervisor out to help, he calls BTP and an ambulance (duty of care). BTP eta is 30 mins.
The guy stretches his arms and decides to wake up. The guy is a little upset when he realises he's at the wrong end of the line but the supervisor encourages him off the train and is heading towards the exit . Result.
I thank the supervisor......
A switch flips in the guys head.....
"What did you say you f**cking Fraggle ?"
and then he drunkenly chases me up and down the platform.
I made my excuses and ducked onto the train and left only around 30 mins late to the depot. Last I saw of him he was being escorted out by security.
