I always thought pingers were better suited to clubs not pubs. The lighting isn’t as bright and my gurning was less visible.

I welcome that 100% and hope it’s here to stay.
If it makes things easier for some people, that's great. It shouldn't happen at the exclusion of others though. A similar thing is happening in the arts sector; my partner works at the Barbican where the box office is now closed. Older people who have been visiting for years arrive on the bus to book a ticket, and are told to go online, which they can't.
edit, this article is a good explanation of some of the reasons people might choose not to carry a smartphone with them. https://www.additudemag.com/adhd-adult-diagnosis-distraction-phone/

Tactically avoiding getting pinged?
Ha. I've tried my best to make up for not having the app with regular testing. It's been tough but I've also stopped going to raves and orgies.

It made it accessible, especially for Deaf people, so don’t immediately knock it because you find it inconvenient.
The issues is down to thr company whom oddly don’t accept card/cash.

Agreed. Not being able to go to a few pubs is a minor inconvenience compared to the exclusion experienced by people with actual disabilities.

Until you sit down, order a round and then find out there’s a 50 minute wait for drinks

Which is often because they're hideously understaffed because most of their staff have been pinged. 20-min 6-deep queues at the bar will not alleviate this.

Ha, had no idea that is a thing.

Not saying it will. However you then at least have the option to think “fuck that” and leave without being out of pocket.

One of the funnier subs imo. I was actually thinking of R/reallifedoodles or irldoodles or something, which is like the snakes.

That's tried by John Cusack in Grifters. The barman notices and isn't pleased.
