The whole 'cringe' thing largely consists of mocking people who have done embarrassing things online because they're trying too hard to be cool/interesting/mysterious in the way that teenagers often do. It's a bit mean but they do do some pretty cringeworthy things. Such is the internet.

A lot of the men featured on that subreddit are the sort of self regarding alt right arseholes that absolutely deserve to have the shit ripped out of them. In fact, the way they look is arguably the least egregious of their myriad shortcomings.
