Vic and bob kill me every time. Shooting was and is first class. I'm glad someone bothered posting that Coldland piece from the show the other night... I was pissing my pants all the way through.

Vic & Bob stopped being particularly funny when they made shooting stars imho. It just became the same gimmicky jokes repeated over and over again a la Little Britain, Catherine Tate or any of that stuff.

The smell of Reeves & Mortimer was their pinnacle I think. Catterick was quite funny though, just nobody really saw it.

You wouldn't let it lie would you!? I disagree, repetition was always a big part of their comedy. This does not preclude them from being massively original/innovative, which I believe they are (or were... is this your point?).

That stuff is actually pretty funny, just way way way too overdone. Little Britain and Catherine Tate (who I can't bear) have achieved 'dad joke' status now, but if it had never been successful it would have become 'cult' I'm sure.
