Did I ever say I knew anything about biotech? like a position of expertise?
People make commentary about all sorts of things on the forum, sports, political events, legal cases etc.. does any kind of comment mean a person is suffering from a delusion about expertise or even claiming any in depth knowledge?
I am not, by any means. This was just an off shoot of talking about creation theories, where I was making the very obvious and simple laymans hypothesis that if we as humans can get to grips with engineering biology. Then it is pretty much certain it has been done countless of times before, and it is possible that we are a product of it in some way. No expertise is required to have such ponderings and come to such conclusions.

Its you history of science excellence on here twinned with your certainty that made me think of Dunning Kruger.

Eh? What's fairly certain to have been done countless times before? Engineering biology? In what way?

A couple of problems with your hypothesis, which are perhaps caused by your being such a simple layman:
If a previous form of life created life on earth by synthetic biology, what created that previous form of life?
Given what we know, with some certainty, about the timescale required to develop life supporting systems and then life of a sufficiently advanced kind to start indulging in synthetic biology, plus the known age of the universe and the constraints on the dissemination of information imposed by the speed of light, how has there been time for your sky god to evolve and then create the earth since the big bang? If you're speculating about a god who set off the big bang, then you're really not thinking of a deity with a PhD in synthetic biology, but one with a very deep understanding of mathematics.
