What?
I hope you are taking the piss? This is the equivalent of a Nirvana T shirt.
Most people wearing them are way too young but they went through their dads (or mums) LP colection and downloaded the MP3's...

I wish to file a complaint about octogenarians listening to Chopin when they weren't around during his lifetime...

But wait there's nobody from those times around to be bitter about it so it's fine, carry on hating on people who listen to music older than them.

You can just stick with watching X-Factor and reading the Hipster or Brixton threads instead?

I saw someone in their 20s in a FSOL t-shirt once. Cunt. There is no way they were there in 93 so they can't like FSOL.
I liked Renegade Soundwave in the 70s. Before they even came out.

I'd say 90% of the music I like was made before I was born, Joy division and Depeche Mode and The Cure included. Problem with the joke on the Tshirt is The Joy Division album in question is separated in time by a few years from the two things it is being confused with. Ian curtis died in 1980. I used to wear a clash T-shirt. I don't anymore because I think any form text or branding on clothes looks lame, but thats just me.
Stuff stolen off my mum and dad formed the basis of my LP collection. You're wierd.

I have my own personal rule when it comes to band t shirts. Only wear one if I
A: love the band.
B: Have seen them live
C: they have a cool t shirt for sale at said gigI only have band t shirts for; The Faint, VAST, Portishead, The B52's and 80's Matchbox B-line Disaster.
That JD shirt is almost funny though.
